i just showed you some time travel: see above

“United States intelligence indicates that Syrian military forces operating from this airfield were responsible for the chemical weapons attack on Syrian civilians in southern Idlib Province, Syria, that occurred on April 4,” Trump wrote in the letter.

"I directed this action in order to degrade the Syrian military's ability to conduct further chemical weapons attacks and to dissuade the Syrian regime from using or proliferating chemical weapons, thereby promoting the stability of the region and averting a worsening of the region's current humanitarian catastrophe."

there you go:
the same (un)intelligence that lied about spying on trump and about trump and the russians

Oh no....

Canada is tits deep in the MESF

CANADA > Operation Inherent Resolve > Coalition

Oh no!

How could we possibly be involved in this? All the bleeding hearts will be upset.
---

Bonus points: Who said this? No cheating now!

What would you say to the people of Canada?

"Well there are a lot of bleeding hearts around who just don't like to see people with helmets and guns. All I can say is, go on and bleed. But it's more important to keep law and order in the society than to be worried about weak-kneed people who don't like the looks of a soldier..."

For all the worry warts, here's a button you can press. You'll feel better.

What? No Warp drive? No time travel?

Right to are. They must have been CF18s from Cold Lake.

There's no other logical explanation.

Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan, why aren't you Trudeauites on top of the fawn eyed warmonger?

Yeah. I'm one of those "Trudeauites" who votes Conservative.

I'm proud of and am fully supportive of our Armed Forces wherever they are deployed. The only conspiracy, here, is the one that prevented you from receiving your Lithium pills, this morning.

Something smells to high hell here. I don't know what the heck happened or who to believe. Something just isn't right here (my gut tells me). I think Trump is being "set up" and they're playing to his arrogance and impulsiveness, using those qualities (for lack of a better tern) against him. I think there might be something to the fact that its to get the US involved in the ME.

While Trump is an idiot, who can't help but be moved by dead children? He'd have to be a monster and maybe that's what got him to change his mind because he did say when campaigning that he would not interfere with what was happening in Syria. Because he has kids, no matter what his business ethics are/were, he obviously loves them and can, at the very least, identify as we all can, with anger at the brutality against children.

But, as President, he really needs to not give in to emotions but logic and reason but I fear he's not up to that task. He just might end up making things worse for everyone.

JMHO
Based on my own expertise and experience, here's what I think happened:

Putin pushed hard to help Trump into office, with some level of at least awareness or collusion on the part of Trump and his team.

So now Trump's in office, and Putin wants to see exactly what he's bought. So he decides to test Trump.

So Putin has Assad, who is his dog, and a general-purpose scumbag, launch a shocking chemical attack against civilians.

Trump, who has had plenty of staffing problems, was lucky enough to have replaced Flynn with McMaster, who is something of a hardass, but fortunately deeply apolitical.

McMaster, in his typical blunt but not bullying fashion, tells Trump this is what you need to do for American power, for our place in the world, and to draw a line with Assad, with Putin, and with IS, as well as reassuring the West.

Trump, genuinely appalled by the attack and feeling completely out of his depth, wisely or fortunately listens, and acts.

It was a low-risk option. What does he do next? Who cares? He could do nothing next. Punishing the use of chemical weapons against civilians is a one-off, punitive strike that does not involve boots on the ground, can hardly be credibly criticized, and sends a message to Assad, to Putin, to China, to N. Korea, and to our friends and allies. And aside from various nutbars domestically and around the world (and on this board), who the heck can criticize punishing a sarin gas attack on civilians?

Putin bluffed, Trump, advised by McMaster, called his bluff. We won the hand.

Yes, which will make the meeting this week interesting - of the discussions that are publicly announced. The chess game continues. The ball is in Putin's court, but he has done all he can now. It would be foolish to do any more than bluster.

Let's get this straight so it makes sense.

1. I'm 99.9% sure intelligence and military had these targets lined up months if not years ago.
Ya think? We have the precise coordinates of any Syrian installation of respectable size, and have had for decades.

2. The President has zero to do with the method of attack, the choice of platform, when to attack, or even why.
He did what McMaster told him to do. Which is a good idea for a President with zero experience in governance, military, or foreign affairs. McMaster did everything. Trump just said "Do it." Good for McMaster. Good for Trump.
3. Yes there is support to gain or lose and there is indeed sabre rattling with Russia.
Again, ya think?

It was inevitable and it's 100% supported by and encouraged by Ottawa.

If you want conspiracy theories Canada has as much to gain by staging it as another global player. We have over 100 special forces boots on the ground and black ops just like the US Russia or Botswana.
I should hope so. Trudeau may not be Eisenhower, but what's the downside of punishing a blatant war crime?

3. There is big money to be made ending this so there are heavy corporate hitter with reasons ramp up activity and get rid of Assad.
Meh, so what? There's big money on every side of every major question.

4. Wait and see.
Nah, jump to conclusions, refuse any and all new information, and yell a lot.
