PGS: You do not recognize the problem. Decades of "help" (welfare) have rendered people useless. Now this welfare mentality has creeped into middle class suburbia. Sloth rules the day because people know they will be supported by the government. I think nothing says hate like sending someone a welfare check. It is like saying, "you poor miserable person, you have no talent, you have no skill, you can never make anything of yourself, so we will give you money live out a meaningless meager existence until you die." If you want to eat then WORK.
I recognize only to well . We have the same problem in Canadu . The welfare industry is a stain on our society. Social service recipients are now called clients, what a joke. But hay we employ a lot of good union workers in our S.S. offices and we have to keep that gravy train on track.

I don't think there is anything to be gained by demeaning welfare recipients, you can't tar them all with the same brush! I think the ones who are able to work should be working. However not all jurisdictions in the country can provide enough work for everyone, and moving to another jurisdiction is often impractical for a family man unless the job pays well enough to finance relocation. For single able bodied recipients I believe there is enough community work so they can work for their welfare. There is always things like litter pickup, weed pulling, minor repair work in parks etc. painting, grass cutting, snow removal.

No the municipal union will not let them . Have you ever seen all the BMW's pull up to the S.S. office on the last wed. of every month. Nice clients if you can get them.

I think you are having a pipe dream. B.M.W.s yeah, right, the ones I see on a regular basis don't even have a decent pair of shoes. And if the Municipal Union is the problem, then it's time City Hall decided who is running the show.

You are right of course because I am a blind man , who does not see what is in front of him. Because all clients are just hard working men down on there luck and of course the unionised staff are all hard working diligent caring but discerning people and none of there managers game the system . I know I can't really see that so it can't be true.

You could save a lot more lives by putting your inner cities to work . Giving them health care and no job does not help them or any one else .Treat the symptoms and ignore the cause does not solve anything , ask any doctor .

The USA unemployment rate is only 1/10th of one percent higher than in Canada which has health care reform. I don't see anyone on this forum complaining about that situation. But then, wannabe ideologues don't do much thinking on this forum except for parroting the same old political mantras every night.

Basically you are right, it's 2/10s and supposed to go below the Canadian rate shortly.

Obamacare Architect Zeke Emanuel Claims Enrollment Numbers Not That Important…

Zeke Emanuel Makes Excuse: Enrollment Numbers Aren't That Important - YouTube

In reality anyone with half a brain knows the enrollment numbers are the single most important piece of data.

Via NRO:
One of the architects of Obamacare tried to check concerns about the law’s rollout, urging Americans to not to focus on enrollment numbers but rather to compare costs between the plans offered by Obamacare and private insurance plans.

“I don’t think, at the moment, enrollment is the key question,” Zeke Emanuel, who served as a special adviser on health policy to the director of the Office of Management and Budget and the National Economic Council until January 2011, said Monday. “What I’d really like is for people to be easily be able to shop and easily be able to make comparisons.”

Republican beneficiary of "socialized" health care:

Give it a rest gopher.... You got your knickers in a twist because a Senator's wife works for an iBank and has her healthcare paid for.... Ironically, no different than the gvt officials that are 'exempt' from the requirement (kinda funny, ain't it) but the taxpayer is on the hook for their unlimited, lifetime care that is outside the realm of what the public is forced to have.

My dear, dear little boy you need to realize it is no secret that right wing politicos and elite employees from the Fortune 500 employees are the first ones to benefit from socialized medicine. The problem is that they laughingly benefit at taxpayer expense but don't want anyone else to have the same privilege. Shame on those hypocrites and their dwindling Tea Bagger supporters.

Awwww... Let me get my guitar and set some music to what will be the saddest country song of all time.

Cut the horse sh*t buddy - the 'elite' and fortune 500 companies are what's padding the tax base that pays for all of the bennies that the 50+% of non-Fed-tax paying Americans rely on.

At some point, you'll calm down enough to understand that all you're doing is taking shots at the goose that's laying the golden egg... Haliburton, Invesco, Google, Apple, et al are all looking for ways to stem the tax-hemorrhaging that the US Fed is prepared to perpetually fosit on their shoulders... The effects are tangible, measurable and costly to the avg citizen.

So, once you get off of your high-horse long enough to understand this very basic reality, you might begin to see sh*t clearly

Same old horse sh1t. The billionaires who own those companies have sheltered TRILLIONS of dollars in overseas accounts as I have documented on this forum enough times. So spare me the self righteous sermonizing.

Those trillions won't cover the operating deficit for a 2 year period... So, once you've run-off the educated and talented 'doers' - what then?

In the end, those trillions are legally sheltered overseas and they are there as a direct result of the punitive tax policies of the current WH.

.. Don't care if you like that reality or not, but keep whining; it may lead to a second #1 hit on the country charts
