I'm partial to Dolton as well.

I wish us lefties were as creative as conservatives when it comes to making fun of politicians names.

I'm sure you could come up with some choice names.;)

And I'm not one who calls people who vote for the other Parties names, only the Leaders of said Parties.:)

Well thank you muchly. I enjoy being green.

I have to say, though, it's too bad Dolton hampered his green rep by closing down those windmills for last minute votes.

Put some cool lights on them so they look like pinwheels and everybody will want one.

The fact of the matter is that there's a pretty hefty proportion of people who don't feel a significant loss from increasing hydro bills and the HST. I think it's a legitimate concern, but there are enough people that aren't in that much of a huff over this. Enough to deny Hudak a majority government.

Now, see.. If we had proportional rep., then McGuinty wouldn't have this disproportional advantage in seat distribution and your voices would actually be heard.

I'm sure I could pull the sour grapes card like all you lovely folks did to me during the federal election, but I actually care about your needs as well. :)

You could, but the election isn't over yet. If the people of Ontario want to give this lying rat bastard another chance then that is democracy.

Backwater, Ontario.
We wouldn't need smart meters if some dumb ass hadn't sold off Ontario Hydro to the for profit sector

Bang on, Wolf; and a big big part of the Harris team were Hudak and his wife.

Shadow, you might want to think about that. Voting NDP is not an option as it will split the vote and the cons will come up the middle a la Harpo.

I'm no Liberal lover and no lover of liberals, but the devil ya know...............etc.

just sayin

A lot of things wouldn't have gotten sold off if the Petersen and Rae governments hadn't left such a mess.

It's a flawed democracy, sure.

Assuming the latest Forum research poll remained an accurate depiction of voting percentage, Conservatives would justly have a tiny advantage over the Liberals. When you look at the seat distribution, however, a pretty solid set a voters would get screwed over completely.

Proportional representation would be 'more' democratic than our existing representative democracy.

Well the fact of the matter is proportional representation isn't on the ballot.

There are a lot of things I don't like about the system. I don't like floor crossing. I don't like party's forcing their members to tow a line that runs contrary to their core beliefs or that of the voters who put them there.

The NDP won't get to run this Province for two reasons.

  • They have the fiscal sense of a 14 year old with a credit card
  • Bob Rea's NDP stabbed the people who put him there squarely in the back.

Depending on which tiny patch of land you live on, your vote may or may not count - regardless of which party you believe is best.

As it stands now, conservatives get screwed because most of them are densely populating central Ontario. Unfortunately for them, they're voting on provincial issues, not regional ones.

I'm trying to help you - not hurt you.

No, I think Harris cut way too deep. But that doesn't get McGuinty of the hook. We are paying people top take our power because we have a large surplus, yet we are still screwing regular citizens and small business with these f ing smart meters.

It's too late to be serious head on over to the Hallucinogenic thread for a laugh.

There is much to celebrate. Olsen is dead.

Isn't that how "for profit" works?

I'm grateful my utilities are still public owner but deregulated where anyone can be a producer and sell excess to the grid. $20K for a 10kW wind genny is pretty cheap.
