Much is made of mccains' service to nation which from a military perspective was couragous however from a moral perspective americans that stated hell no I won't go exhibited great moral courage. It's one thing to blindly follow orders and slaughter innocents on behalf of the state quite another to risk all and refuse to take part in blood letting. Just me but I see heros as those attuned to moral fortitude.

So you figure it's perfectly alright to extend your moral standards to include someone else in a remote location where you don't REALLY know exactly what was happening? I know speaking for myself I couldn't kill another person even if he was an enemy at war, but I would never expect someone else to adhere to the same standard.

So, I'm not the only one he would rather knot dance it out with in the parking lot?
;)
...for ideological reasons...

Assuming to know anothers motives be fraught with peril, huge dif twixt unprovoked assault and defense of being. I don't buy that you staring death in the face would not pull the trigger, survival is a primal instinct whilst assault is contrived.

Moral and immoral people can and will pull the trigger, the difference is one is protecting himself or the ones they love and the other has greed being the driving force.

You make a good point, I was a bit hasty. If I felt my life was threatened I would likely remove the threat. But I wouldn't deliberately put myself in a position where that was likely to happen.

"We weaken our greatness when we confuse our patriotism with tribal rivalries that have sown resentment and hatred and violence in all the corners of the globe. We weaken it when we hide behind walls rather than tear them down."

John Sidney McCain

Aha, that's what has old Trump all pissed off. Once you know the facts you can hardly blame him. :) :) :)

It would appear that way, it could be the puppet in his green years. If you come out of retirement would you do it for 'peanuts'. They let him a few tweets. Maybe the flag thing is a 'help me' in some code.

Adieu John.

I would have voted for him over
Obama in a heartbeat. Nice to see him screwing Trump in death. Gotta respect the man
