John Maclain is near death, good , if there is a God that prick will suffer agony for months. How it could possibly have brain cancer is a mystery.

Let's see a link establishing proof, otherwise stick it where the sun don't shine. Looks like this forum is in the process of being cleaned up so for now I'll just call you a JERK!

Mr. McCain did play a part in the slaughter of vietnamese, of course he was only one of many as in iraq where as noted 1/2 million tenderagers were slaughtered on faux 'evidence'. Grieving the death of a dedicated patriot is expected however where is the grief or more properly rage over all the corpses left in his and his compatriots wake.

Is the technology not available to correct the date in the title? I know it's not a pressing world class problem, but it gets a little irksome after awhile. :)

"That" is potatoes. McCain has a big factory on PEI, right at the end of the causeway, to turn those potatoes into oven fries, bag 'em up, and get 'em out there.

Most of PEI production is Yukon Golds, with Irish Cobblers having a significant minority.

Don't try to teach an Indun about potatoes, paleface. We INVENTED potatoes!

Sorry, I guess I missed "That". Anyway no potatoes were harmed. :)

When you are engaged in war isn't the first order of the day to follow instructions. Shouldn't the guy giving the instruction bear the blame? When you have bullets zinging past your ears, you are not really in any condition to think things through, you just do what you are told!

Never had much use for McCain's politics but I think i'll pass on using his memorial thread to comment on them.

"RIP Osama Bin Laden. He might have had some bad ideas but he fought the soviets in the 80s. A war hero is still a war hero even if we disagree on some things"

John McCain was a good man and a good soldier

That said he was lost in space in a political sense. He was a tribune of the Pax Americana with its motto of 'make the world safe for democracy' which fell into complete disorder, hypocrisy and cynical self interest in the last half of the 20th Century. As such he was a free trader, cultural libertarian and aggressive proponent of extending America's military power in support of its interests.

He clashed on style, doctrine and national vision with Trump.. who was specifically excluded from attending the funeral by McCain. But frankly John McCain would have been a disaster if he had achieved his goal of becoming President.

However, RiP. He was an honourable, if somewhat befuddled, man.

Everybody was his best friend now that he's gone.

Like Elvis.

I think the problem is that you are supposed to keep the flag lowered until whoever it is is buried.
