I'll repost the link to the original article

http://www.thestar.com/article/505531

It doesn't describe Harper as Hitler. It describes Harper as a right wing neocon in the mold of Bush. Most Canadians do not believe in most of the changes Harper would make to Canada.

Anyone who believe Canada should be a compassionate nation, supports universal medicare, tough environmental laws, foreign aid, same-sex marriage, abortion and a ban on capital punishment should not vote for Harper.

If you want Canada to fight poverty, help natives, create more daycare spaces, back racial and gender equality, multiculturalism and don't consider the phrase "politically correct" to be a bad thing then you should not vote for Harper.

If you support lowering the living standards of the poor, the death penalty, privatized medicare, polution, cutting foreign aid, illegal wars, traditional marriage only, criminalizing abortion, intolerance, indifference and putting children in prison with hardened criminals, then vote for Harper.

I would not claim Harper shares an ideology with Hitler, but he is very close to US President Bush. So if you would vote for George Bush, then you should vote for Harper.

But don't vote for Harper because you believe he stands for things he doesn't. That would make you about as dumb as the Americans who re-elected George Bush, even though they now claim to hate everything he has done.

Yah, eh. What he said.

I really like all the things Harper supposedly stands for. I just wish he wasn't so wishy washy on certain topics..bringing back the death penalty for one.

Now, let's break this down.......

If you support lowering the living standards of the poor,
How, exactly, has Harper's tax cuts and elimination of GST points "lowered the living standards of the poor" They have not. In fact, the carbon tax of the opposition parties would do so, not Harper.

If you support........ the death penalty,
Now this has been pulled out of your butt.......the CPC does NOT support the death penalty, there has not been any move to reinstate the death penalty, the Supreme Court would not allow the death penalty.....absolute BS and fear-mongering.....

If you support.......... privatized medicare
That's DELIVERY of medicare, and it already exists, it has existed for 30 years, it is a provincial, NOT a Federal area of concern, and nobody can tell the bloody difference.....obviously, seeing as you are accusing Harper of doing something that has existed for decades. More fear-mongering.

If you support............. polution
Funny, Harper has done more to curb pollution than any gov't in our history. More BS.

If you support ......... cutting foreign aid,
I do not believe foreign aid has been cut, simply concentrated in fewer countries, with the same monies spent....more bafflegab, I believe, but will entertain figures that show otherwise.

If you support .......... illegal wars,
The only war we are involved in is Afghanistan, a NATO mission taken on with the approval of the UN........a blatant lie, this one.

If you support ..........traditional marriage only,
More fear-mongering. The debate is over on this, and even when it was running hot, the Conservatives simply supported civil unions....marriage in all but name. A tempest in a teapot......more fear-mongering.

If you support....................... criminalizing abortion,
Harper has said repeatedly......the gov't will not introduce an abortion bill. (sigh)....Can you get it right on just one issue?

If you support putting children in prison with hardened criminals
Nobody has proposed this........jails for juveniles would still exist, and those under 18 would serve their sentences in them.

Nine specific attacks on Harper and the CPC. Eight are blatant lies and deception, the ninth I believe is, but lack figures.

Who was it that originally promoted the idea of "the big lie"?

Do I detect a sense of panic amongst the opposition supporters???????????????:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

No ... I think it's a delusion among the open-mouth close-minded. Did you ever check into Tom Long ... or are you afraid of the answers you'll get?

What about him? He ran for leadership of the Canadian Alliance and lost amid charges of fraudulent voting.....he LOST.

He is not much of an influence in the party anymore, if he ever was.

What's your point?

The point is ... and always HAS been (and you'd be the first one to bitch if one of your posts was ignored) that Tom Long - the architect of Ontario's Common Sense Revolution -writes CPC policy and has been doing so since 2007. That, too, was in an already provided link. Look it up. I already did MY homework....

Well, I looked.......I found one article about Long being the guy hired to recruit new heads for CBC News.......that's it. Head-hunting for corporations is Long's profession......

I hardly think ideologue Long is happy about Harper dragging the CPC into the middle of the road.....MUCH less actually writing those policies.

Unless you can point me to something much more specific, well, more paranoid bafflegab, is all I can say.

EDIT: I saw all the same links you give above....one has nothing to do with Long, one is years old and deals with the old PCs.........and one I've dealt with above. As far as I can see, Long has NOTHING to do with CPC policy.....

Hate to burst your bubble but Long is the same guy ... and the second is another Ontario PC steering the ship. Gee ... you'd think your own party wouldn't be so secretive with you of all people, eh?

What concerns me about Harper is his close association to the Bilderberg Group (he has attended at least two meetings). It seems he is intent on reducing our sovereignty and joining the NAU. and North American Union - Canadian Action Party.Granted it was Martin who started this Harper is on board too. This is an undertaking of the political elite and is being implemented by both conservatives and the Liberals.

In short he is a traitor.

Feel free to believe as you wish. In a democracy, the power steering the ship would be the party ... and that isn't Harper. What you just described is a dictatorship - the very reason Harper SHOULD NOT be elected. Thanks for clearing that up....

If you want Canada to fight poverty, help natives, create more daycare spaces, back racial and gender equality, multiculturalism and don't consider the phrase "politically correct" to be a bad thing then you should not vote for Harper.

Well, let's see. The government has proved inept at fighting poverty, under both Liberal and PC governments, as evidenced by the inability to live up to Paul Martin's pledge to eliminate 'child poverty' (whatever that means anyway). Call that one a draw.

Help Natives? Like the BC group that just got 130 million, and the chief and 2 councillors gave themselves each $800,000, and decided each of the other members could have $800 per month?? That's worth supporting, sure.

Daycare spaces? Why is it the gov'ts responsibility? I have two kids. I've found childcare for them. I pay for it. If you want to pay me to have my children looked after, just send me a check. PM me, and I'll give you the address, make the check out to 'cash'.

Gender equality? They're equal. Period. Don't need no gov't to tell me that. My mother got her BSc in Geology in 1948. She didn't need the gov't to tell her it was ok. My grandmother got her degree in 1920. She didn't need the ****ing gov't to approve it. When her husband died in 1926, she raised her sons as a single mother in the ****ing depression, by working, she didn't need the ****ing gov't to tell her it was okay. I work with women who are licensed electricians and pipefitters - they don't need the gov't to tell them it's okay.

As someone told my wife (a licensed, degreed professional): some women whine about equality; you just go out there and ****ing do it.

We don't need the government to babysit us, we need the government to get out of our way and let us ALL get to work.

Maybe I have this attitude because I'm from the Maritimes. Culture of Entitlement. Goddam right, my culture of entitlement is that I'm entitled to work hard, and keep what I earn, and make my own ****ing way in the world. You soft namby pambys who need coddling can get the hell out of my way. I've got a life to live.

You want to spend your time calling a politician Hitler? I suggest you grow up, and learn a bit. You're ****ing pathetic.
