They are an impressive bird of prey. My favourite actually. I can kind of relate to them, on a certain level, lol.

They fly? I've done enough amanitas to see the moon split in two but I've yet to see one of these puppys take flight.

So you favour the idea of moving throughout the middle east, ripping off filters and mastering women? Do you think the US or France should lead that air assault? Should it be like Wellington and Napolpeon or cowboys and indians?

The US, France, and the Brits are leading the assault already.

Hey... where is the guy that says air power is obsolete?

I heard this morning that French planes hit an armored column outside of Benghazi. Is wiping out columns of trucks part of a No Fly Zone these days?

I would have thought a no fly zone was to keep the Libyan jets and choppers grounded, if they are taking out armoured columns would this be considered more than enforcing a no fly zone and actually include us in the war? Are we going beyond what we said we were going to do?

Well i hope we dont put troops on the ground. I hear gadafi is using mercenaries from central africa and those AK-47 armed soliders wearing sandels have known war all their lives and i bet will give coalition troops a run for their money. Well the French troops at least lol (cause theyre bitches), we got some good experience in Afghanistan but i hope we dont go on the ground there....

We are it seems but it should come as no surprise.

I am of the opinion that the true intent is to overthrow Gadaffi. Not that I care but perhaps they should be a little straight for once. The No Fly Zone was put in place because Gadaffi was kicking the crap out of the Rebels in my opinion and the powers that be want the Rebels to win.

That is why the French is wasting tanks and trucks on the ground. When was the last time a tank brought down a jet?

Troops are going on the ground.

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't the British and French putting troops on the ground eventually? I thought I heard that but I may be mistaken. If the British are... I hope you Canadians have your Desert Gear ready.

We could pull the UN and Lybians might enjoy the same freedoms that the Rwandians had.

All those Rhawandans died because we "helped" them, millions of Iraqis died because we liberated them, I don't expect Lybians to have a bloodless transition to democracy especially since we are already killing them and will continue to do so until there has been enough murdered to ensure the survival of the oil and water in the hands of people who really really love the stuff and will spare absolutely no one to secure it for the enjoyment of the few who count. You're obviously one of these fanatically religious democracy nuts.

USA & France will lead the effort.

Britain is leading it as well, and the chances are that it won't be long before the US takes a back seat and allows the British and French to run the operation.

Britain has already contributed much to the bombing campaign in Libya - a Trafalgar Class submarine (HMS Triumph), along with a Type 23 Duke Class frigate, HMS Westminster, and a Type 22 Broadsword Class frigate, HMS Cumberland, launched some of the 112 Tomahawk missiles that were fired at Libya last night and we've got many Typhoon and Tornado fighter planes in action in Libya.

In fact, some of those fighter planes have flown straight to Libya all the way from Britain, from bases such as RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, making it the longest bombing mission conducted by the RAF since the 1982 Falklands War against Argentina.

The RAF also has several AWACS, VC10 and Tristar air-to-air refuelling aircraft as well as E3D Sentry and Sentinel surveillance aircraft taking part in the mission (which I think is a larger array of aircraft taking part than any other European country).

The Ministry of Defence has also confirmed that RAF Tornado GR4 aircraft, flying 3,000 miles to Libya and back from RAF Marham in Kent fired Storm Shadow long-range air-to-surface cruise missiles designed to strike vital targets. The missiles have a length of 15ft 9in and have a range of 1,800 miles - and pack a big punch.

Here is what Britain has sent to the mission:

RAF Awacs

RAF E3D Sentry

RAF Sentinel

RAF VC-10

Tornado GR4 bombers at RAF Marham in Kent yesterday. Last night they flew 3,000 miles to Libya and back, making it the RAF's longest bombing mission since the 1982 Falklands War against Argentina.

RAF Typhoon

HMS Westminster, Type 23 Duke Class frigate (all the ships in its class are named after dukes)

HMS Cumberland, Type 22 Broadsword Class frigate

HMS Triumph

My last question is why did Obama choose to begin bombing Libya on 19 March when his predecessor George Bush began bombing Iraq 19 March 2003 (three days after Rachel Corrie was murdered)? The US and western-supported massacre of civilians continue in Bahrain, Yemen, and other Arab countries. We are seeing the struggle intensify. From Sykes-Picot agreements between France and Britain in 1916 and the Balfour and Cambon declarations of 1917 to the hypocricy of the Obama administration, there is a very long record of Western powers working against democracy in the Arab world (and prop-up a racist apartheid regime implanted in the midst of this world).Popular Resistance: "I shall not hate" and more

Libya will make a great place for bases on the Med.

Rachel Corrie committed suicide.

Laying down in front of a bulldozer when obviously the driver can not see you because of the blade.........is simply not an act of self-preservation.
