Coffee is free at the rest areas on I-25 and I-10.

The memories I've made while drinking the free coffee and enjoying incredible natural wonders are priceless.

Why is this allowed by us to stand? Bring it down...

They're just rocks.

How many of the 7 billion humans on this planet would have their lives changed if those rocks came down? My guess is maybe a thousand tops. Probably not even that many. There isn't going to be massive floods or earthquakes. Nobody is going to die. Nothing will change except a bit of landscape. Sure they are neat to look at and make you impressed at the power of wind and water but they really have no significant impact on the human race.

From a philosophical perspective Nick, they do have significant impact on us. People who respect themselves care for nature and humanity and seek to ensure balance. We are destructive creatures by nature. We often kill that which is weaker or considered less valueable. The further we evolve the more we realize how small we are, and that we are just a piece of the planet, a part of the whole, worth no more and no less.

HELL YEAH!

What good are they to humans!?

Bring them all down!

Destroy them!

Pfffft!

You silliness makes me laugh.

Man should destroy as many of these natural wonders as possible... for fun.

Killing what is weaker is natural. Survival of the fittest and all that. Natural selection.

We can make new ones from recycled plastic pop bottles.

Maybe you can get Monsanto to genetically alter some other rocks to form the same way.

They aren't much benefit. I'm not gonna rush out with a case of dynamite but I'm not gonna cry and throw a human being in jail if they disappear.

absolutely, it is natural ...we seek to rise above what is natural for us, we seek to rise above the base and become enlightened, we embrace the remarkable, the best we can be..we seek to evolve....to become more than what we are... that too is natural, it's why we are typing on a computer and not chipping on stone tablets

Who genetically altered you?

To you they aren't does that mean everybody feels the way you do?

SWEET, SWEET IRONY!!

lmao

why is this not surprising?

Man who toppled 'goblin' boulder had claimed 'debilitating' injury

Not only is Glenn Taylor possibly facing charges in Utah for his he-man destruction of an ancient, and beloved, rock formation in Utah, he's got some splainin' to do in another courtroom. Seems the Highland scoutmaster filed a lawsuit just last month claiming he'd suffered "debilitating" injury resulting in "great pain and suffering, disability, impairment, loss of joy of life" from a 2009 auto accident in which a teenage girl rear-ended a string of cars. Alan Macdonald, the girl's father, watched the viral video of Taylor pushing over the boulder and yukking it up and said, "He just doesn't look like a terribly disabled person to me." Taylor's lawyer Mark Stubbs said Taylor's medical bills from the accident are ongoing, while admitting the video might not help his client's cause in court. Meanwhile, Taylor's fellow Scout leader Dave Hall said he's received more than 100 death threats over the Internet in the furor. "We realize we made a mistake," he said.

Now there is a big oops! Bet his lawyer is doing a big facepalm about now.

Vandalism in a US National Park?

By a Scout Leader?

My guess is that after this those clowns won't be able to wear the uniform of a toilet attendant (apologies to Peter Sellers).

More proof of stupidity. At this point it's rather redundant.

when it comes to a boulder that size, if either of us could move it at all, it's moving pretty easily.
Not really.

I could really care less to argue at length with you about it because in the end I think they deserve whatever fines the government lobs their way.
So do I.

Prison should be reserved for those who pose a threat to public safety.
I agree. This isn't a case where prison should be a consideration.

Since when did a natural occurrence in nature become property of the govt.
LOL, the stupidity you come up with is amazing...

Here's a small list of natural wonders owned by gov'ts. Just so you get the gist and I can make you look silly, yet again, lol...

Niagara Falls.
The Grand Canyon.
Yellowstone.
Banff National Park.
Nahanni National Park.

Should I continue or do you feel sufficiently stupid yet?

What next, they going to claim ownership of the ocean and the fish in it...
OMG, that's pretty close to the dumbest thing you've ever asked, lol...

Defining Canada’s Maritime Zones

It is a rock, why don't you get that?
We get that.

I have moved many rocks while hiking and climbing. I have driven pitons into rocks and pried away loose ones to get a better foothold. I have cut plants and moved branches and rocks to make camp.
None of which were like large natural, protected wonders, lol.

This is not a national catastrophe.
No one said it was, stop making stuff up, it makes you look stupid.

These guys don't deserve jail or even a fine or community service.
Ya, I guess seeing as you don't value human life, you wouldn't be able to grasp the concept of irreplaceable natural wonders, lol.

That's nice. Those parks and $1.75 buys you a large coffee.
What you don't know, is already a matter of public record. There was no need to supply anymore examples thereof.
