The drama never ends with Ford, I hope the burglar wasn't looking for his secret stash of Twinkies...

Toronto News: Rob Ford

Several Toronto police cruisers are staked out around Mayor Rob Ford's Etobicoke home and neighbourhood this morning after what one source said was a break and enter.

Investigating officers from 22 Division said they could not confirm why they were there.

Neighbours noticed officers in the driveway as early as 10 a.m.

Some cruisers were stationed around a neighbouring park.

Ford's van is parked in the driveway and officers were coming in and out of the home.

It was probably one of those left-wingers that like to hide under RCS' bed.

Why is it that every time this guys name is mentioned, it involves police in the yard or
some unusual activities around the property.

Was One of Robs' Daughters, X Common Law boyfriends, sneakin' round - Domestic Dispute - Nothin' that unusual ...Makes for a good news story though...
X must have some pretty Big Gonads to even have attempted goin' near that place...
I'm sure the Ford Family alone coulda handled any potential problems...
Hell, his daughter could've ...alone...
Is a Tough Family

Mayor Rob Ford needs protection, Mammoliti says

Mayor Rob Ford is being too cavalier about his personal safety and should increase security to protect him, says Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti.

The mayor’s brother, Councillor Doug Ford, has advocated a special security detail for the mayor, and Thursday Mammoliti weighed in to urge the mayor to act.

Mammoliti said the mayor should drop his habit of driving himself around town.

“My advice to the mayor is he shouldn’t,” Mammoliti told reporters. “There are people out there that do want to hurt you. His approach is I’m the mayor of the city, I’m open, and that’s his approach. I hope that some people can knock some sense into him.

“I don’t’ understand it. I mean people have tried to break into his house. If it were me, I’d be asking for more security.” Mammoliti said that while Wednesday’s break-in at Ford’s home involved an in-law, there have been other situations.

“The last one had somebody around his yard I don’t believe they found out who it was. But the phone calls keep coming in to our offices, including the mayor’s, wanting him dead, and I think we should take that stuff seriously.”

Mammoliti said he will continue to urge Ford to get more protection.

“We’ve got all of the social problems that come with a big city, including the whackos that like to hurt us. I would suggest we get to those particular security (risks) before somebody’s killed in this city or hurt. And I think that that’s inevitable if we ignore it.”
