Lol, that is a lie. You could easily tell me what you think people should know about that video. For some readon you just refuse to do so.

Are you afraid of people challenging what you say?

There is a hell of a lot more people in the pics inthe OP than what tay is trying to claim were there. It would appear his pic was taken before the doors were open in a lame attempt to back up someone's agenda.

Well, no. The video is clearly all taken up near the stage, where you can see people are in tay's photo.

The video shows that there are some people there, but it really gives you no sense of the actual number.

Due to the poor attendance at Rob Ford’s campaign kickoff party, his new theme song could be “Half Empty Halls”

The Ford campaign booked an enormous banquet hall; rented tables, chairs, tablecloths, sound equipment, etc.; shelled out for servers and other staff; hired a rock band and bagpipers; hung large printed banners; gave away free alcohol and snacks; handed out other freebies; and brought along an old fire truck as a prop (which brother Randy bought for $4,000 at an auction). There were probably many other expenses too.

By most accounts, the April 17, 2014 event was a flop, with low turnout, no “history in the making" moments (another Ford promise broken), none of the celebrity appearances that were anticipated, and a lackluster speech full of lies, clichés and vague pledges.

TV footage showed a lot of people waiting in line to get Ford T-shirts and bobblehead dolls, but it seems that many of those people were not genuine supporters, and left soon after getting their memorabilia, perhaps to sell online.

Conventional wisdom among political operatives is that you always hire a modest-sized space for events like this. It looks fuller that way and you don’t risk showing empty seats on TV. Olivia Chow’s launch was in a church, John Tory’s in a downtown community hall.
That’s not how the Fords roll. They got the Toronto Congress Centre, a vast barn on Dixon Road with polished-concrete floors and cinderblock walls that looks big enough to host a monster-truck rally. They filled maybe half of the 290 tables of 10 seats each.

Mark October 27th on your calendar. It's the date of the 2014 Toronto Mayoral Election. The next 86 days leading up to this will provide a textbook example of how a cabal of Left-of-Centre latte sipping talking heads in the Media Party will say anything in an attempt to destroy Rob Ford. Facts won't matter. Fairness won't matter. The only thing that's relevant to these ideologues is to push over the finish line one of their "tax" or "tax even more" candidates.

Case in point is one Edward Keenan, who recently wrote this:
"Is he shameless, or ignorant?"

Well, that's the question once you disregard the carnival funhouse of mayoral misfortune. When you gaze upon the profound lunacy of the crack smoking on video and the police investigation and the blitz tackling of a fellow councillor and the bragging about the all-you-can-eat buffet of marital bliss in his home, and so on and so forth, the only sane question to ask is: What! The! Hell!?!
But if you put those sideshows aside, and focus on his "record" as he's always asking us to do, then you're left to ponder either the soaring heights of his shameless dishonesty or the bedrock-cracking depths of his ignorance.
Keenan is a columnist, not a reporter, so he can opine in any way he wishes. However, given how the proverbial heads of these media pundits are likely to explode should Ford be victorious again, that should be sufficient reason alone for many Torontonians to vote for him!

Lest anyone has forgotten, here is one of the "star" candidates of the Toronto Media Party.

My bet is on John Tory. A vote for Ford = a vote for Chow. Many Ford voters will realize this by the time they actually have to make a decision.

Locutus...The problem is for R Ford whatever the media says about R Ford is for the most part truth and there are always facts to back their items and columns up....
The only story with any question surrounding it is the Newtonbrook story.

Rob Ford only a few points behind Tory in new mayoral poll

Rob Ford’s support appears to be rising as the gap between him and frontrunner John Tory narrows with two months left in Toronto’s mayoral race, according to a new poll.

The Forum Research opinion survey also found that Olivia Chow’s momentum continues to slip.

The poll, which was conducted on Monday and Tuesday, put support for Mr. Tory at 34 per cent, 31 per cent for Mr. Ford and 23 per cent for Ms. Chow – the three leading candidates.

Three-way race

Random sampling of public opinion among 1,945 Toronto voters five days after Karen Stintz dropped out of the mayoral race.

whatever it is there are a lot of pissed-off hipsters, basement dwellers, torstar readers and baristas nearing the ends of their ropes...it's fun to watch them go mental over Rob Ford doing so well.

Rob the slob is trying to keep receiving a good salary plus benefits courtesy of the Toronto taxpayers. If he had to get a real job it may be a big challenge for him.

The Fords are quite rich in their own right and I don't think they need the $140K/year salary to keep food on the table.

Guess the electorate is weighing a no nonsense speaks-his-mind addict in recovery vs an uppity asian broad who likes to meddle in people's lives and live off the teat versus a creepy washed-up cfl commish and cable tv salesman.

what to do, what to do.

Since he didn't have sweaty palms or too much aftershave then...Rob Ford!

Old crack head is going to win.

He'll get voted in by law and order mouth breathers who don't like Trudeau's pot plan.

Funny ain't it.

I hope he wins, he's the only thing interesting in that cesspool.
