In years gone by if one wished to respond to an article in the paper one wrote a polite letter to the editor with your name and address and it might get published in a week or two. Today in online newspapers mostly all you find for comments in articles of importance in incoherent drivel from lowlife leftards that won't even use their own name.

If anything i suspect they got tired of trying to keep up with the barely literate horde of left wing idiots that dirty up every article. The national post has changed their comment section recently, you now need a fb account to comment, all that happened is the mostly left, too stupid to be embarrassed by how stupid they are crowd, still comments, still votes their friends garbage to the top, and there are fewer normals there to balance the conversation.
