If Europeans hadn't made it to the New World, someone else would have, eventually (The Chinese were already capable), likely bringing the same diseases. It was inevitable. You cannot blame Columbus, Europeans or exploration for that. One way or the other pestilence was going to come to the isolated Americas. It was an unfortunate accident. It was NOT a genocide.

Germs were discovered hundreds of years after Columbus was around. Middle Easterners have been slaughtering each other for millenia. They even started writing down their conflicts back in the Bronze Age. Those records are still available to us and are commonly found in every library and still most houses. Guess what? The exact same people who are killing each other now were brutilizing each other 3000 years ago .. the exact same ones. Persians were killing Jews, Phillistines were at war, Syriacs were at war. Egypt was the regional superpower, then and they gave no quarter, responded ferociously and killed and enslaved their conquered.

Where's the effect of the Black Death? A quarter of the planet's population died and it took three centuries for us to recover to pre-plague levels. Europe was practically wiped out. Eurasia may have lost as many as 200 million dead. All that I see on that graph is a nice, steady "progress as usual" slope.

I won't argue that . I am well aware that I have a mixture of blood and am a simple mutt , you on the other hand take the position of part of a we . You do realise of course there were over 50 separate languages spoken in N.America prior to the white scourge .

My point? Red food colouring was found to be dangerous, and replaced by another red food colouring whose properties are still unknown. I forgot to add that Canada's flag is red and white. That program's Canada's youth to consume red food colouring.
