I'm think NO Twila. Why would anyone want to serve next to him?

There are bound to be idiots people don't want to serve with. He'd just be another.

And he wants to wear the uniform bad BUT he doesn't want to earn it or serve.

That's why you force him to serve. Besides, he could do the things nobody else wants to do. Latrine cleaning/digging (if this is such a thing), digging, boot shining, laundry folding, garbage removal, etc

That's true... why add more.

He's obviously not right.

I didn't think "Sh*t Bird" had an MOS attached to it. ;)

If the recruiters are doing their jobs right idiots wont get in.
Actually, recruiters may weed out some by making it clear that the military isn't really for them. But the screening process after recruitment i where the deep digging takes place.

unfortunately there is a rainbow of idiot types. Plus you might be able to train the idiot out of some people.

Nice beard, probably wears a toque when he's not stealing valour.

I'm scared to ask, but what's the problem with toques?

I don't want to see him charged. The laws around impersonating military personnel are geared more towards doing it for nefarious manners and should remain that way rather than putting on a costume and seeking attention which was certainly the end result in this case.

As far as I'm concerned it is far worse for a guy to put on a dress and use the girls room and that is more of an insult to any veteran than an asshat dressed up in surplus. At least he attended the Remembrance Day ceremony while most Canadians didn't.

I honestly don't know why any soldier there didn't confront the guy as surely he walked past at least one and to us, he would've stuck out like a cop wearing a chocolate badge, running shoes and toy gun in the holster.

Anyway, in Ottawa most of the "soldiers" there are imposters in my opinion.

A real man will suffer a frostbitten head before wearing a wimpy toque.

And just for the record, I'm not a real man. I value my earlobes.

ah! well I'm not a real man either then lol. I prefer to be warm when I'm outside so I can enjoy doing the outside stuff.

The guy is a self indulgent narcissist and deserves to be charged.
This also has implications, of what if. What if we have people now
wearing uniforms even if we catch them they can get past the first
line of defense. No this guy needs to be charged helped maybe
but charged.
His life is a lie including his marriage the one he wore the uniform at.
It is also an insult to Canada having people like this wearing a so
called uniform.

Hipsters wear toques all ear round.

Hipster are inherently douchebags.

ahhh, ok. I get it. I feel that way about people who wear shorts and uggs. or shorts and a winter coat. Or a winter coat and flip flops. Or athletic wear and jewelery and/or make up.
