Did you happen to notice who started this thread and WHAT it was about? Of course you didn't. As usual, you go off half cocked without reading the entire thread. I started this thread before the 11th. I put it in a different thread than the Remembrance day thread so I would not get the bullshyte accusations, like you just accused, of derailing and "spitting on the dead".
If you don't like my attitude towards this subject, you could have stayed out of the thread that I STARTED, instead of accusing me of not posting in the proper thread. Once again you prove that your mouth runneth over before your brain goes into gear.

you started the thread, but you don't own it, and you deliberately started it to suck in those whom you
would then spit and sh*t on, it is easy to see that, you are very transparent.
it would be interesting to know 'what' you would have done in response to adolf hitler's attempt to rule
the world, one country at a time, with a huge army at his disposal.
maybe you could have written a letter to the newspaper, or just go to church and pray, or ? what gerry what.
mad men scratch and kill to make their way to the power they seek, then begin to use their insanity to
get their way. all of the leaders of countries are power hungry people, you saw them in your classroom
at school in a small way, but those personalities grow up and find their way to the position where they can make
big decisions for countries, or whomever they desire, hence wars over ownership of our earth.
Most of us are happy with our simple lives, and wouldn't hurt a flea, but when our country and our freedoms are threatened, or the free world, it is a decision we have to make. do we just sit on our butts and
let others who 'just want to', walk all over us, take our countries, or do we ban together and fight
for those rights.
maybe you would feel less guilty and more happy kissing the butts of people like hitler and others like
him, so you don't have to know that others have died, well go ahead, do that, but my family and I will
fight for our lives before we follow dictators and others like them.
again gerry, how would you stop an insane leader like hitler from doing his dirty deed.
all of our canadian soldiers who died, or served were innocence, trying to do the right thing, their first
thoughts were of saving others, not killing, but includes defending themselves and killing others.
I will always be grateful to our 'innocent' young men and women who stepped up and did what they thought
was the right thing to do.
I was just a little girl when my brother was sent home injured from holland, still a teenager, and a
very changed and much more aware person than when he left.
He survived but his best friend did not, and I will never forget him, such a nice young man with a
wife and new baby when he left. His little boy has never known him.
All of these young people knew what hitler was doing, knew that london was being bombed and the devastation
in europe and russia, but of course in your world they would have turned their backs and just said,
"this has nothing to do with me" right? they can figure it out themselves right?
we all remember forever everyone who died and that includes civilians, they are all part of it, no one
in countries who are at war escapes that horror, but to ignore the actions of hitler and his henchmen,
would be worse than having to face up to him, because eventually he would be at your front door.
what would your choice have been as a very young canadian at the time my brother joined the army.
l942, what would you have done.
We must always remember and honour our fallen men and women, and those who were
spared, and 'never forget', people who gaves their lives, and that includes
civilians did it for all of us who are here now, whether you like it or not, and
if you didn't ask anyone to die for you, doesn't matter, they did.
