Typical cons; if you see your hero is losing ground bring up old crap on PET. You know they ain't got nothin' when they start pulling this stuff out of their butts.

What I find amusing is the idea that Justin and Pierre are exactly the same. My dad has always voted Liberal and I've never. Harper and Trudeau both spent obscene amounts on the CBC while racking up deficits so one could argue Harper and PET have some similar ideas.

Justin Trudeau; "Canada belongs to Quebec"... and there it is.. If JT is PM he will give Quebec anything it wants..

Personally, I think it's time that each province has the same privileges Quebec has.

Yeah, some history of Canadian politics is irrelevant to the Canadian Politics forum.
yyeeeeeeeeeeaaaaah uhuh

Anyways ......
but but but but PeeAir was the best ever PM we had, right? Well, at least according to Gliberals and a lot of newsmedia.

History is relevant to Canadian Politics; history is repeating itself right now!
PET was the worst thing that ever happened to Canada! He is the one who started us off into debt by giving everybody everything is he thought it would buy him votes. Official French language, the metric system, end of the death penalty, All the things Canadians were dead against PET made his caucus vote the way HE told them with no thought about what the people wanted. Those people who were supposed to be represented but instead were forced to accept Trudeau's socialism. It was the Liberals who gutted the military, amalgamated it into one Cdn. Forces.
The apple didn't fall far from the tree! Justin's carrying on the tradition; get as far as possible into debt, tax the hell out of business until they leave the country or go bankrupt, give up Canadian culture and traditions to foreigners and terrorists.
People are treating elections like popularity contests and they don't give a thought to the stability and security of the country.
Get a pretty boy with a famous name and lots of money who will smile and shake hands and they'll worship him. Hell they could have picked any rock star and made him Prime Minister; he's know as much about running the country as Trudeau. My neighbours hound dog would know more than Justin Trudeau!

It's quite sad that everybody either missed or doesn't care about the most important point in this thread. I refer to the change from borrowing from the BoC to borrowing from the private bankers. Mr King was absolutely correct in his statement about control of the currency and credit. Once we gave that away nothing else mattered. None of the big 3 parties or the Greens would ever consider changing away from the private international banks therefore none are looking out for the Canadian citizens.

Alberta's economy was based on such commodities as oil, cows and rape seed, not any f**king A$$hole in Ottawa!

There has been a saying that Toronto was the center of the universe according
to those who live there, well I am beginning to think the saying should have been
Alberta thinks it it the center of the universe. For years we heard they should go
it alone and this and that now the fortunes have changed thanks to oil tanking
and former Tory mismanagement.
There was a time before Leduc that gopher hunting and farming were the chief
jobs by comparison. Not to minimize the importance of the Province all parts of
Canada are important but it should be noted we all have ups and downs and
most of it is because at times we get too comfortable and don't build on the
success of those who went before
Life came a long way since Trudeau and if that is the only argument left to consider
for the more conservative minded we are in more trouble because Harper has no
plan except to call everyone out for the things that are not done or going to be tried
He has been in power for 9 years

Don't under estimate Harper. I'm thinking he'll probably be smiling at you on the idiot box on Tuesday morning! :) :)

One of the biggest A$$holes we ever had for sure. Who but an egotistical pr*ck can go out and spent $1/2 trillion of working people's money?
