As displayed prominently in the US the last week violence against people with a different opinion is a liberal leftard trait. Yes Mowich you are correct - I came to the wrong place for what I was looking for.... but I'm looking everywhere, not just here.

Maybe I'm more looking to see where the pockets of need are, trying to identify what can I do as one individual to understand, and raise the level of desire to hope for something better - before we're in the same boat as the US.

Our own elections last year didn't have far to go to reach the same place the states are in now... and we're a mere 3 years out from our next... I'm paying attention, is all. Somehow the conditions for a Trump to happen did happen - and if I can do anything to make sure we don't head down that road, I will. This is probably not the place for me to apply my efforts though.

I fully support your endeavors, Zan - both here and wherever else they take you. Voices of reason and unity are very much needed considering the state of affairs both in the U.S. and other areas in the world.

... and frankly, I don't give a rat's a$s about anybody's opinion - male or female - who hides behinds racism... or any 'ism... to justify any weak, lazy behaviour that denigrates another human being rather than looking for ways to make room for everybody on this planet, equally.

I include many women in that statement - many of them take the opposite tack, and verbally brutalize all men - that's just as ridiculous, and not my game. I fight for mens' rights in regards to divorce and custody issues regularly, and concretely. I combat man-bashing where it crops in my path; how can we ask men to look deeper if we're not willing to?

Make no mistake, my post was not directed only at men, it was directed specifically at the men in this thread who are responsible only for what harmful behaviour flows out of their mouths and their keyboards. (If there were women contributing to that in here, I was directing it to you even more!)

See? Communication tactics like this are what I suspect got us where we are.
