Let's see....this is the General Leslie that accused Israel of purposely murdering women and children, that lied at a war crimes tribunal, got a medal for something he did not do, and that charged the gov't tens of thousands of dollars to move a few blocks.
A Liberal star candidate, and Trudeau's top foreign policy advisor, for whom Trudeau prevented any nomination opposition.

Actually, I don't really believe it will be much of a problem, especially if the Dauphin Dummy keeps on with his natural idiocy, narcissism, and sense of entitlement. As the Canadian people get to know Justin more, they like him less.........for damned good reason.
The election campaign will expose him more.
And Harper will tear him into tiny bits in debate.
I predict a new Conservative gov't in 2015.

You can predict to your heart's content--apart from your vote it is unlikely to change the outcome. Actually, if anything you will garner more votes for other parties. This is what has happened in the US--the right has been seized by monomaniacal, angry tea partiers who, in their drive for ideological purity, have so far managed to successfully alienate moderate Republicans and swing voters.
First of all, if you think I am an ideological purist, you are not paying attention.
Secondly, I guess you missed the mid-term elections, in which the "monomaniacal, angry tea partiers who, in their drive for ideological purity" whipped the corrupt useless Democrats so thoroughly even staunch Republicans were surprised.
Thirdly, although I habitually disregard polls ten months before an election, you might like to look at the recent trends.
And Fourth........IMHO, anyone that believes democracy is the best form of gov't believes Canadians will dump Justin..............the boy is a moron, and a nasty, lying creep to boot. His father, without the brains.
Bad comparison. We aren't feeling the pains of mismanagement like the US. If Americans were given the choice between Steve and Justin who would win?

Regardless, this is the kind of fear and loathing politics that I'm talking about.
They've had success in the mid-terms. But when it comes to the real thing, the Tea Party candidates have not had good success. Canada has even less patience with these types than the US.
Who knows? Although I suppose you can draw a parallel between George Dubya and Trudeau--not the vsharpest knives in the drawer adn achieved success based on familial ties. Mismanagement? The US economy isn't doing too badly.

I should say here that I am no fan of the Republicans either.....both US parties are whacked......but the GOP is somewhat less crazy than the Democrats.
Bush graduated Yale with a B.A. in History, and Harvard with a Master's in Business Administration.
Trudeau has a B.A. in English (lol) and a B.Ed (even larger lol).....he failed at an attempt to get a Master's. (in "Environmental Geography", whatever that is......something that required an IQ, I guess)
I suggest G. W. Bush is a lot brighter than Justin..........and if that doesn't scare you off the Justin bandwagon, well.......

Bush, like Trudeau, suffered from the general impression of voters that he wasn't as smart as his father. He, too, was hounded by gaffes and ridiculed. He still ended up winning the election. Twice, in fact.
Interesting that a B.A in History is so impressive to you, yet a B.A. in English isn't. They are both liberal arts degrees. Perhaps your ideological colours are showing again.
Bush was smart enough to take advice from his advisors, I am unsure if Trudeau is doing this.

The voters were correct both times.
A couple of differences:
Bush's gaffes were funny, endearing almost, stemming from his tendency to tangle up his words. Trudeau's gaffes are simply idiotic, pointing up his incompetence.
Bush ran against two of the biggest idiots and con artists in the Democratic Party; John Kerry and Al Gore. Trudeau is running against the most skilled politician Canada has seen in a long, long time.

Excuse me?? A BA in history from Yale.......one of the best universities on earth. Followed by a Masters in Business from Harvard....often listed as the best university on earth.
Oh, and yes, a degree in history has a lot more to do with competent governance than a degree in Margaret Atwood.
