Sun News is to Canada whatb RT is to Russia--just a mouthpiece for the ruling party. Trudeau's right to boycott, though wrong to announce it. He would have been better off to to justr turf their media with no commet as to why. This will just feed the right's incessant victim complex.
Yes, Justin has every right not to speak to anyone he chooses not to speak with....
Now, does Harper have that same right?
Oh, and I am NOT saying Justin has to speak with Sun, I am merely pointying out the hypocrisy of the man claiming to be open with the media, while he refuses to answer questions from anyone that does not fawn over him.

As for Sun News TV, I admit I have become a bit of a fan.
You should actually watch it sometime. Much more discussion from all sides than you will ever see on CBC.
That is a bit disingenuous.. Levant called his parents ****s and equated an innocent peck on the cheek to rape. That is just nasty. Maybe you are so wrapped up in your fear and lopathing that you see that somehow as legitimate political commentary. Fortuantely there are not many like, as evidenced by ratings at the Sun. Of the few viewers they do have, I imagine a good chunk of them are watchin them for the comedy value alone.

That's putting it mildly. Maybe you should stop being such a fanboy of Ezra Levant.
Obviously, from the quote I left you above, I am not interested in that style of political mud-slinging. A little substance is nice.
And substance is what you usually find on Sun News......much more so than CBC or CTV.
The ratings problem is that people enjoy being fed intellectual pablum. They don't get it at Sun.

Which is why I watch both. What you do not get from one, you get from the other.
The difference I can watch CBC for half an hour and get 10 minutes on the latest sports star fiasco, 10 minutes of BS on some social event nobody with a three digit IQ gives a crap about, and 10 minutes being told what to think about the actual political and world news.
On Sun, when I watch for half an hour, I get 15 minutes of being told what to think about a subject, and 15 minutes of serious debate.........both on actual news.

This case was over the top, and he should apologize. And you should pay attention to what I write, instead of challenging me over things I did not write.
Naw....he does some good stuff. His on the spot interviews with protesters are pure gold.
His fight with the Alberta HRT was a classic....he was the ONLY publisher in Canada with the cojones to print the Mohammed cartoons, which should have been on the front page of every newspaper in the western world. Then he totally trashed the entire illegitimate Canadian system of forcing correct political thought through extra-judicial tribunal.
For that, he gets my respect.

If you seriously think the level of bias on CBC is on par with Sun News, then you need your head examined, sorry. Nothing CBC Newsworld does is anywhere close to the outrageousness of Levant. CBC Newsworld's idea of provocative is Rex Murphy or that dude from Dragon's Den.
But for calling Justin Trudeau mother's a **** and getting very concerned about the state of her underpants, he still has your respect.
Because despite you declaring up and down that *you* would never say that and Levant went too far, you actually like it. Ezra Levant tells you what you want to hear. You can pretend your not an angry crazy ******* and yet be one vicariously through him. The reason you brought up the story was not to denounce Levant, but to laugh at Trudeau for taking offense. Why shouldn't Trudeau take offence? Why shouldn't you agree with Trudeau when you go on about how Levant went too far and how we shouldn't go after a politician's family? It seems to me that your stated beliefs didn't match your behavior when you just laughed at Trudeau and relished in his taking offence. It's because you like what Levant said. You're just not willing to say it.

I DO Agree with Trudeau that Levant was incredibly offensive.
What I did was point out that Trudeau was LYING when he used Ezra's offensive rant as an excuse to boycott Sun News.....he already WAS boycotting Sun News because they actually dare to ask him grown-up questions.
Levant made a serious mistake in supplying Pretty Boy an excuse to "boycott".
I'm guessing Trudeau knew Ezra Levant was a clown and Sun News was a clown news organization before they editorialized about his mother's panties. You still haven't realized it either before or after this incident and still pretend Sun News is for grown-ups.
Three things about maturity I can tell from this exchange:
Colpy - wants to punch out people who insult his mother, respects a man who made a personal attack on someone's mother
Sun News - calls people's mothers ****s and ruminates on their underwear
Trudeau - ignores the trolls
You tell me who I should be impressed with here. You? Ezra Levant? Trudeau? Who is the grown up?
