Just as Hurricane Sandy makes landfall and devastates large portions of New Jersey,http://youtu.be/xunUoFIh2jg

It sounded like you were askin a question tay, so let me take a stab at it.

Well, my guess is that the communities in and around that area will beg the White House for help, but in response, Obama and Clinton will declare that the hurricane was the result of a spontaneous protest over a youtube video... Obama will apologize on behalf of the American people and immediately jump on a plane to Hawaii to 'campaign' for re-election.

Everybody knows Mitt Romney is lying about his false claim that Jeep is shipping American jobs to China. Even the traditional media calls it a lie: The Washington Post gives it four Pinocchios and PolitiFact says it's a Pants-on-Fire whopper.

So what does Mitt Romney do?

The Romney campaign has now put a version of the spot on the radio in Toledo, Ohio — the site of a Jeep plant. The buy is roughly $100,000, the source says.

The move seems to confirm that the Romney campaign is making the Jeep-to-China falsehood central to its final push to turn things around in the state.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer, meanwhile, published a scorching editorial with this headline:

I agree, Romney is quite boring, his constant flip flops have become mundane. I think what would be newsworthy would be if he ever maintained a position on anything.

Ah yes... Republicans flip flop... Democrats evolve. lol

The hostages were released shortly after Reagan was sworn in. Jimmy Carter was beside himself wondering why the Iranians would do such a thing. They did it because he was so weak.

I thought the hostages were released because the Iranians were tired of watching the bizarre and completely incoherent schemes the US was trying to concoct in order to get them out.

There is definitely some revisionist history floating around here. Reagan had NOTHING to do with the hostage release. The deal was brokered by the Algerian govt with Warren Christopher, then deputy sec. of state in the CARTER administration, being the chief negotiator for the US. Reagan himself never claimed any credit for it and, in fact, insisted that Carter & Christopher greet the hostages upon their return because they were responsible for the release.

But let's not let the facts get in the way of some good republican partisan revisionism.

The bottom line is the Iranians held them until Reagan was sworn in. That is fact. The Iranians wanted to humiliate Carter even further by holding back the release of the hostages. Reagan announced that the hostages had just been released and allowed... ALLOWED... Carter to greet them.

But they sat in captivity for over a year. Carter was weak... the weakest President I ever saw.

No spin Nick. It's the truth. Carter failed miserably.

I'm not claiming Mr Peanut was a genius or a great man but the guy who got second billing to a chimp had absolutely nothing to do with the release of the hostages. The deal was brokered by the Carter administration, end of story. Trying to make out like Iran caved in because Reagan was president is BS and revisionist spin. I can even remember Ronny's speech about it where he stated it was not his doing and that was why Carter was going to meet them.

As I recall after 444 days the hostages were released by the Shah within a very few hours of Ronnie taking over, clearly a deliberate affront to Jimmy.
