here is the state political map - lots of red here:








Interesting that so many of the rural districts vote red because that party took away the farming subsidies. Dems gave it back but the voters still abandoned them - very ironic when you think about it.

As I said... it is not that hard to win in MN if you're a Democrat.

Republicans needed to flip seven seats of the 134 member House to win the majority. With the races that had been called by Wednesday morning, the GOP had ousted at least 11 incumbent DFLers.




Prior to the Dayton administration, Republicans were the majority at the capitol and legislature.

The GOP JUST took the Minnesota House of Representatives... a week ago.

When do they get sworn in?

So when they are eventually sworn in...

Both MN US Senators will be Democrat

Five of 8 US Congressmen from MN will be Democrat

The MN Governor will be Democrat

And the MN State Senate will have a Democrat majority

It's a Blue State and not that hard for a Democrat to win there in MN.

Eagle sounds like he is depressed over the hand full of wins in Gopherland.

Anyways, when things change in January Obama will be what is referred to as "lame duck" meaning that now the deluded right wingers can no longer blame him for the mess their party creates. Clearly his agenda is gone and now the GOP will get its way exclusively.

This means it is time to quit picking on Obama. ;)
