But this is just an example of the baloney Obama referred to. What the hell does an ACORN worker have to do with trying to improve healthcare?

God help someone giving tax tips. Not like that happens anywhere except an ACORN office. That is complete red herring bs.

You are full of yourself.......pretending you don't see I was being sarcastic....zooomm!

You may have been sarcastic (and I gathered that), but you spoke the truth, whether you meant it or not. Give yourself a pat on the back; you can speak truth without even meaning to.

It is politically more convenient, more profitable to do so, goober.
Racist - Similiar to the profiling done by the Govt of South Afreica - No diffenerce -

Question - You stated numerous times that if Obama lost the election it would have been laid at the door of his race - - and many Liberals stated the same - that would have proven racism was alive, well and thriving in the US ( according to Dems and liberals)- What is your opinion now?

"Not really, you and YJ are trying to determine how much of a racist who is.

But enough about you, let's talk about me, and my needs."

Deeds, are indeed, louder than words.

Since February, 1993 I devoted at least three weeks of my vacation (I retired in 2003) to work with Habitat for Humanity, mostly in Homestead, Florida. More since I retired.

The houses I helped to build were all to be owned by either Hispanics or African-Americans. I met the prospective owners, I worked side by side with them. To the best of my recollection, not a single one of the ever called me racist. Those are my credentials to refute any slur that I am a racist.

Can SirJosephPorter show ANY deed by him that furthered the cause of minorities? Fancy words, really, do not cut it in the real world.

SirJosephPorter knows perfectly well who a racist is. He sees one every time he looks in the mirror.

Goober, my opinion is that Republicans screwed things up so badly, they made such a huge mess of economy, foreign policy etc. that Americans took the extreme step of electing a black president (and he looks black, so he is considered a black), the most liberal president ever in recent memory.

This does not mean that there is no racism in USA. But this shows that at least a part of the population is ready to put race considerations aside if they think that they are getting a better candidate.

I think that anyone who says race was not an issue in the US election is being naive.

However, having paid a lot of attention to Obama during the campaign (way too long, by the way), and since he got elected, including last night, I will say without reservation he is the best speaker the US has had as a president since Reagan and Kennedy. However, unlike those two, Obama talks a lot, but says nothing when you listen to him. I thought he was going to have his own "I have a dream" speech at the end of his presentation last night. Long on oratory, very short on substance.

The whole Mud Slinging thing about Racism is that nobody is innocent. No side
is better than the other. This can go on forever, but why?

"Those Who Forget History Are Doomed to Repeat It" (Quoted from George Santayana)

Your law, designed to keep most of the Obama voters out is not racist in intent? Do you think I was born yesterday? - SJP

No but you are a racist. – EagleSmack

EagleSmack, a Republican like you supports the proposal meant to kept black voters away. Big surprise there. And then some Republicans wonder why blacks don’t vote Republican. You Republicans don't have a clue when it comes to racism.

Hell must have frozen over many times already it seems....

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan

Klan violence worked to suppress black voting. As the following examples indicate, over 2,000 persons were killed, wounded and otherwise injured in Louisiana within a few weeks prior to the Presidential election of November 1868. Although St. Landry Parish had a registered Republican majority of 1,071, after the murders, no Republicans voted in the fall elections. White Democrats cast the full vote of the parish for Grant's opponent. The KKK killed and wounded more than 200 black Republicans, hunting and chasing them through the woods. Thirteen captives were taken from jail and shot; a half-buried pile of 25 bodies was found in the woods. The KKK made people vote Democratic and gave them certificates of the fact. Historian Eric Foner observed:

In effect, the Klan was a military force serving the interests of the Democratic party, the planter class, and all those who desired restoration of white supremacy. Its purposes were political, but political in the broadest sense, for it sought to affect power relations, both public and private, throughout Southern society. It aimed to reverse the interlocking changes sweeping over the South during Reconstruction: to destroy the Republican party's infrastructure, undermine the Reconstruction state, reestablish control of the black labor force, and restore racial subordination in every aspect of Southern life.

Anyone who's done any reading on the origin of the Ku Klux Klan and realizes that
in was an enforcement arm of the Democrat Party in the USA, among other things,
would also be confused by the statement: "You Republicans don't have a clue when it
comes to racism. " Read through the link above. That'll open anyone's eyes with respect
to the mix of racism and politics in the U.S. In comparison, the statement that the
Republicans don't have a clue when it comes to racism may very well be true, I guess...

{Cartoon from 1868, which accuses the Democratic party presidential candidates of relying
on support from Ku Klux Klan members who were Confederate traitors in 1864 (from the
point of view of the USA).}

P.S. I've done some reading on the origin of the Ku Klux Klan, as I'm 2/3rds
of the way through the novel "To Kill A Mockingbird" and was try'n to make
sense of some of the references to a time 80yrs distant. I've learned that some
things are timeless.

Gopher, I think there are two birth certificates of Obama circulating on the internet, both from Kenya, and both claiming to be genuine. No doubt more birth certificates will emerge as time goes on.
