Did you notice that when Obama said things like "save lives", all the Republicans frowned and shook their heads.

There isn't enough carnage and death in this plan to satisfy the Republican base.

I actually just mentioned that elsewhere!

Some of the president’s statements that seemed to cause scorn on the faces of Republican Party senators and representatives just made no sense. These were statements that no level-headed person, who seeks to improve the system, could possibly oppose unless it is simply opposition for the sake of opposition.

"It seems to be always about him...... the forum Connard (see traductions) ...what a joke he is.............."

DaSleeper, should not be surprised. He is pathetically UNILINGUAL. He could not understand a word outside of the English language if his life depended on it.

That is why he can't stand anyone like me who mastered a second language to a high level. That is why he takes perverse pleasure of pointing out an occasional spelling error in my posts, while ignoring (or denying) the obvious ones in his, not corrected by his precious spell-checker.

He TRULY is a connard!

SirJosephPorter, I will not bother to quote your words. That would be an insult to my dignity and self-respect.

Your post #753 claims, declares and states that you know my mind, my thoughts and my views better than myself. But remember that putting your words in my mouth does not make your argument any more valid. What you assume of me is nothing less than what you feel about African-Americans and how you would treat them, having taken them for granted for decades.

My mistake: the female affirmative action fire-babe is actually four foot ten.

If you and your ilk were not afraid of Sarah Palin, you would have forgotten about her by now.
So, have it your way! Arguing with you is like tossing dry peas to a cement wall hoping some will stick. And reasoning is utterly impossible.

I won't even dignify the idiotic post by SirJosephPorter, also reeking of patronizing racism.

Really YJ? And your post wasn’t racist? You post reminds me of the voting registration requirements in the South, which the Southern states claimed were not racist, but effectively kept blacks from registering.

Well, well, well. The resident racist is trying to call another person a racist.

Joey P. aren't you the one that said "Michelle (Obama) is a dark as they come" and because she is, in your words "as dark as they come" she should be a role model for other women of color around the world. That statement was about as racist and bigotted as they come.

There are ways of passing racist laws without actually mentioning race. Or passing sexist law, to keep women out of a profession without mentioning gender (e.g. by making the height requirement of 6 feet). It is the oldest trick in the book.

Or gerrymandering. Here in Massachusetts our Liberal Democrat Speaker of the House got charged and plead guilty to a felony of trying to gerrymander a growing African-American neighborhood that was threatening one of his lap dog Liberal State Reps seat.

Liberal Democrats talk a good game or try to but when it all boils down they have proven that they will stomp on the rights of minorities when it affects them.

Your law, designed to keep most of the Obama voters out is not racist in intent? Do you think I was born yesterday?

No but you are a racist.

That is only your opinion, EagleSmack. I don’t see anything racist in that statement.

And just how does this pertain to suppressing of voting right of blacks in the South? There have been as many Republican scandals, as there have been Democratic scandals, you accusing Democrats of wrongdoing is like pot calling the kettle black. You Republicans are guilty of just as many scandals, if not more.

No but you are a racist.

Now, that is a matter of opinion, isn’t it?

No matter how you spin it Yukon Jack, your asinine proposal to keep Obama voters out was racist. You basically wanted to keep blacks from voting.

Northern Ontario,
I'm hoping the moderators lock this post down....because I started it as a fun thread ...something like The LOL Bush thread somewhere else...but you with your constant one track mind about US politics have continually tried to make it about you ...But a common Troll revels in this sort of things.....

Why lock it down? It up to 769 posts, god knows how many posters, it's like a group conversation that evolves over time.

I don't understand why people get upset when a thread wanders off topic - don't you guys ever have drunken, wandering conversations that completely degenerate multiple times?

Relax, stop being so uptight.

Is Obama really a mac daddy?

EagleSmack, a Republican like you supports the proposal meant to kept black voters away. Big surprise there. And then some Republicans wonder why blacks don’t vote Republican. You Republicans don't have a clue when it comes to racism.

But that is just it, TenPenny; the thread has not wondered form the topic. The thread was about Obama, we are still talking about Obama. I don’t know what DaSleeper is so uptight about.

DaSleeper, if you don’t like the way the thread is going, surely nobody is forcing you to participate?

TenPenny, one of my threads (‘What are the consequences of Obama failing) went on for more than 1100 posts, posters still post in it from time to time. The thread wondered off into different topics many times (inevitable when it stays around for a long time), but it did not turn in to a flaming thread, so it is still around.

I suppose any thread about Obama generates intense passion, on both sides.

Not really, you and YJ are trying to determine how much of a racist who is.

But enough about you, let's talk about me, and my needs.

Well yes, but isn’t that in reference to Obama voters? We were discussing his proposal to keep Obama voters out, so we haven’t really veered away from the subject (well, perhaps a little bit).

And by all means, let us talk about you and your needs.

Doesn't matter what you think to be honest...it was racist. Would you stand in front of a crowd of African-Americans and say...

"I think Michelle Obama is a role model for women in third world countries... She's as dark as they come!"

Hell NO you wouldn't! You KNOW I am right too! Why wouldn't you say that? Because it is racist and they would drag you off the stage.

Or gerrymandering. Here in Massachusetts our Liberal Democrat Speaker of the House got charged and plead guilty to a felony of trying to gerrymander a growing African-American neighborhood that was threatening one of his lap dog Liberal State Reps seat.

There have been as many Republican scandals, as there have been Democratic scandals, you accusing Democrats of wrongdoing is like pot calling the kettle black. You Republicans are guilty of just as many scandals, if not more.

The Liberals Democrats and Democrats are self annoited champions of civil rights... that is unless it affects them.

You see Joey... the Dems like to attack the GOP on morality issues because a lot preach their morality. The Liberal Democrats feel immune to morality issues because they do not preach it and yet hold the GOP to what they preach. Dems and Libs for the most part have little morality...mostly liberals and not always Dems.

But here is where there is a big issue on the rampant racism within Liberalism and you are a prime example.

But nobody is suppressing voting rights in the south. Sure the Democrats tried to for years and called the dogs (literally) out on African-Americans as well as water cannons and batons. That is the Democrat Party!

No but you are a racist.
Now, that is a matter of opinion, isn’t it?

Nope
