Aren't all speeches by Presidents 'scripted' or is Obama the first one to have 'speech writers'?

I think as he was reading it he was thrown into a state of disillusionment at the fact the US of A is not the greatest country in the world anymore. Unfortunately, neither he or the f*cktard right are actually doing anything to fix it, just the status quo. Poor Americans.

Obama has single-handedly caused the collapse of American foreign policy in the entire Middle East and North Africa. All political factions in Egypt despise Obama. Obama has made common cause with elements of Al Qaeda in Libya and Syria.

Obama has destroyed American relations with several Latin American states.

Obama has added new tensions with the European Union.

Obama has seriously harmed American relations with Russia.

Obama's latest missile defense test failed to intercept the incoming missile.

American leftists love all of this.

It's sort of interesting to observe the complete collapse of American foreign policy in the middle east from a detached standpoint. With emotional detachment it's possible to see the phenomenon as an allegory.

It's sort of interesting to observe the way in which American foreign policy in east Asia is acting as a catalyst for war, but only if one is emotionally detached. With emotional detachment it's possible to see what is happening as hubris meeting nemesis.

American foreign policy is like a Greek Tragedy.

Perhaps it would be a big improvement if there was no American foreign policy!

I wandered into this thread wondering what that humungous stink of poo was, and managed to trace it to this post.

Why do you say that Zip?

Well, mostly because it's a load of hyperbole from a rabid partisan hack. Let's take the first one--Destroyed relationships with South American states. Because up until Obama, our relationship with South Americans states was so good, right? Clinton and Bush got along famously with Chavez. Sure.

South American foreign policy have always been thorny. Unfortunately the media have a memory of about four months, so everything is always new to them (maybe that's why they call it news!)

There's no need to be personally nasty Zip. It really accomplishes nothing.

Obama sent Bolivian-American relations into the toilet hasn't he with his attempt to search the plane of Bolivian president Evo Morales for Edward Snowden? Did you notice the immediate reaction of Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Bolivia? Obama is the ugly American.

Did you know that VP Joe Biden called the president of Ecuador and threatened him over the Snowden affair? Again, the ugly American.

What do you think about Obama's policy failures in the Middle East/North Africa and in East and South Asia? Things are going very well for Uncle Sam there are they?

Obama’s New Nominees To Pro-Union NLRB “Picked In Consultation” With AFL-CIO Boss Richard Trumka…

One cannot underestimate the power the unions hold over this administration.

Via Politico:
New nominees to replace a pair of recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board could come as soon as Tuesday afternoon, two sources said.

As part of the deal to avoid the so-called nuclear option, Republicans have agreed not to block replacement nominees for Richard Griffin and Sharon Block.

The two replacement candidates have been picked today in consultation with AFL-CIO head Richard Trumka and will be announced by the White House this week.

In return for removing President Obama’s recess appointees to the board, Democrats won agreement to have a functioning NLRB through 2014, including a future nominee for a slot opening up on the board next year. In return the GOP was able to scuttle the recess appointees that have been declared illegal by Republicans and whose constitutionality will come before the Supreme Court later this year.
