You asked.................when you ask questions you can't always expect to like the answers!

In Canada, federal income tax was brought in as a TEMPORARY measure during W.W.1, so obviously income tax isn't a necessity! I'm not sure when the U.S. first adopted income tax! Perhaps you know, Capt.

Remarkable..

Pointless to continue on with this

Happy to hear your flattering opinion................................BUT you could be wrong!-:)

How can anyone argue with your position that it is good that there are so many people relying on food stamps to survive?

Oh, that's right, you believe that the mills, factories and prisons will employ all of those unfortunates that can't live without food stamps, even tough there is record unemployment in the nation.... Let's add to that the notion that Federal taxes are unnecessary in your eyes.

Question: Do you have any clue at all regarding how the Federal food stamp program is funded?... I know, it's a tough question so lemme help ya out here... It's paid for through taxes.

Are ya picking-up what I'm putting down here yet?

I never said taxes were bad, I did say there are better alternatives to income tax. How do you think the U.S. economy compares with the rest of the world? Top 50%, Top 20%, Top 10%?

Pretty well every able bodied person who REALLY wants a job has one.

I can't argue that. But guess what... there are a lot more people hitting the dol because it's not a bad living for nothing.

I don't know where you live but there's several factories and mills in Canada. Where do you think a lot of your lumber etc. comes from?

It comes from Canada.

I just mentioned several places of employment, hospitals and jails are other big employers.

What type of jobs... cleaning... food service?

Not very. Which is true of many entry-level jobs. That's why they're called entry-level jobs.

Maybe take a look at where the growth is in terms of what sectors... I think that you might find that there is an inordinate amount of growth in the service sector in addition to more part-time jobs (thanks to Obamacare).

The bottom line is that these are not the sectors that grow an economy nor do they generate enough income to enable the workforce to live adequately or plan for an independent retirement

Yes, I'm quite concerned about the time-travel portion of Obamacare, which is responsible for the fact that part-time jobs have been growing since 1970.

But before you continue on this track, you might wanna know that I opposed the PPACA. Still do. Health care should be a state matter.

What grows an economy is the middle class. The larger the better.
