Just got to thinking Teddy's recent absense on this thread is deafening! Perhaps he's on vacation?
You asked.................when you ask questions you can't always expect to like the answers!
In Canada, federal income tax was brought in as a TEMPORARY measure during W.W.1, so obviously income tax isn't a necessity! I'm not sure when the U.S. first adopted income tax! Perhaps you know, Capt.
Remarkable..
Pointless to continue on with this
You want to concede?
Sure.. I'll concede that you are woefully unaware of economics and void of practical thought
Happy to hear your flattering opinion................................BUT you could be wrong!-![]()
How can anyone argue with your position that it is good that there are so many people relying on food stamps to survive?
Oh, that's right, you believe that the mills, factories and prisons will employ all of those unfortunates that can't live without food stamps, even tough there is record unemployment in the nation.... Let's add to that the notion that Federal taxes are unnecessary in your eyes.
Question: Do you have any clue at all regarding how the Federal food stamp program is funded?... I know, it's a tough question so lemme help ya out here... It's paid for through taxes.
Are ya picking-up what I'm putting down here yet?
How do you think the U.S. economy compares with the rest of the world? Top 50%, Top 20%, Top 10%?
Why don't you offer your opinion on this?
Pretty well every able bodied person who REALLY wants a job has one.
I don't know where you live but there's several factories and mills in Canada. Where do you think a lot of your lumber etc. comes from?
I just mentioned several places of employment, hospitals and jails are other big employers.
I've done both. There is honour in work. What type of jobs... cleaning... food service?
I've done both. There is honour in work.
Yup.
.
Seems a mite odd. Sounded for a second there like you were putting down those jobs. Perhaps I misinterpreted.I did as well.
I'm doing fine.How is that a success?
Seems a mite odd. Sounded for a second there like you were putting down those jobs. Perhaps I misinterpreted.
How likely are those jobs going to generate a sustainable lifestyle come time to retire?
Not very. Which is true of many entry-level jobs. That's why they're called entry-level jobs.
Yes, I'm quite concerned about the time-travel portion of Obamacare, which is responsible for the fact that part-time jobs have been growing since 1970.Maybe take a look at where the growth is in terms of what sectors... I think that you might find that there is an inordinate amount of growth in the service sector in addition to more part-time jobs (thanks to Obamacare).
What grows an economy is the middle class. The larger the better. The bottom line is that these are not the sectors that grow an economy nor do they generate enough income to enable the workforce to live adequately or plan for an independent retirement

None that I know of. I assume there's a point you're working toward?Agreed... Now, how many first world economies are founded on a middle class that works in fast food joints?
None that I know of. I assume there's a point you're working toward?
I do hope it's something a little more complex and nuanced than "Obama BAD!"
