CNN Poll Finds Romney Beating Obama Among Independents By 22 Points … But They Are Tied At 49%…

Check out this sample size: D+11

Washington (CNN) – It’s all tied up, according to a new national poll released two days before the presidential election.
And the CNN/ORC International survey not only indicates a dead heat in the race for the White House, but also on almost every major indicator of President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney that was tested in the poll.
Forty-nine percent of likely voters questioned say they support the president, with an equal amount saying they back the former Massachusetts governor.
Romney’s beating him by a staggering 22 points among crucial independent voters:
Methodology:
A total of 1,010 adults were interviewed by telephone nationwide by live interviewers calling both landline and cell phones. All respondents were asked questions concerning basic demographics, and the entire sample was weighted to reflect national Census figures for gender, race, age, education, region of country, telephone usage and whether respondents own or rent their homes. Registered voters were asked questions about their likelihood of voting, past voting behavior, and interest in the campaign; based on answers to those questions, 693 respondents were classified as likely voters. Respondents who reported that they had already cast an absentee ballot or voted early were automatically classified as likely voters. Among those likely voters, 41% described themselves as Democrats, 29% described themselves as Independents, and 30% described themselves as Republicans.

Lockheed Martin to lay off 123,000 and other defense contractors may follow

President Obama’s administration has asked Lockheed Martin to delay its announcement of the layoffs of 123,000 employees to make the unemployment numbers look much better. Lockheed Martin is one of several defense contractors ready to lay off tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands of people after the election. These numbers may indeed rocket the unemployment figures past 8%.

Wave goodbye to the Obama media

By tomorrow night we’ll likely know the name of the next president. But we already know the loser in this election cycle: political reporters. They’ve disgraced themselves. Conservatives have long complained about liberal bias in the media, and with some justification. But it has finally reached the tipping point. Not in our lifetimes have so many in the press dropped the pretense of objectivity in order to help a political candidate. The media are rooting for Barack Obama. They’re not hiding it.

Consider Benghazi. An American consulate is destroyed and a US ambassador murdered at a time when the president is boasting at every campaign stop that he has crushed al-Qaida. In an effort not to disrupt this narrative, the White House and the Obama campaign spend weeks claiming the incident was merely a protest over a video, rather than a real terror attack. Then intelligence surfaces showing just the opposite: The killers in Benghazi were no street mob, and Obama knew as much from the beginning.

Imagine if George W. Bush, or even Bill Clinton, had tried something like this during a re-election campaign. The howls from journalists would have been deafening, and unceasing. Instead, Obama has enjoyed every benefit of every doubt from the press every step of the way. Candy Crowley even broke character in the middle of a presidential debate to defend him. From their retirement, former presidents must be looking on in envious bewilderment.

Hey isn't that illegal? :)

A woman in Florida was refused a ballot because she had an MIT shirt.

Eventually she was able to convince them it was a Massachusetts Institute of Technology shirt. Liberals... lol

Not at all surprising, from what I hear the people running the polling stations in Miami don't have the brains or ability to run a lemon ade stand. The mayor, apparently, was livid when he found out the genius in charge didn't get enough ballots printed! (You sure wouldn't want to add to the waste by ordering 100 too many)

Voter ID?

The right wingers tried it here in Minnesota - they were rebuffed convincingly by voting member of their own party!

Here's one for all the great Christians of this forum - Glenn Beck says "God sucks":

Beck on Romney’s loss: ‘Man, sometimes God really sucks’ | The Raw Story

Conservative radio host Glenn Beck on Wednesday declared that Mitt Romney’s loss to President Barack Obama proved that “sometimes God really sucks.”
As it was becoming apparently that the president was going to be re-elected on Tuesday, Beck had told a panel on his Blaze TV network that “the body of America is even sicker than I thought it was.”
“Twelve years ago, I could say with real assurance that I knew who Americans were,” he explained. “And I can’t say that any more.”
During his radio show the next morning, Beck told listeners that he had realized Romney was going to lose while praying before the polls opened on Tuesday.
“Man, sometimes God really sucks,” the radio host lamented.

Shows some class, huh?
