Still, for only $7,000, the whacking of Obama still goes cheap.

Race/class war politics, 2012 edition

No, it's not satire: listen to Obama's new radio spot aimed at black voters.
(The accompanying video isn't part of the radio ad, obviously, but the audio is apparently the real thing.)

Two days before the ad was released, the Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus complained about an anti-Obama ad from Karl Rove-founded Crossroads GPS, saying the music "reminds me of, you know, some of the blaxploitation films from the 70s."

Drew –

From coaching basketball to knowing how many Jonas brothers there are, Barack is a pretty cool dad.

But more importantly, Barack is a wonderful father and partner. No matter what’s on his plate, he puts the kids first, and they know how much he loves them.

This Father’s Day, I want Barack to know how much we love and appreciate him, so I hope you’ll join me in wishing him a happy Father’s Day:

Thanks for all your hard work, and happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads out there.

- Michelle

Obama Offers To Fly Supporters In To Meet Him…

From: Barack Obama
Subject: Get flown in for a meal with me
Date: June 15, 2012 9:50:34 AM EDT
To: Drew
Drew –
I’m about to sit down for lunch with a few grassroots supporters who are being flown in from Arizona, Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio.
It’ll just be me and these four supporters, with enough time to relax and have a real conversation.
I can’t wait.
I’m not going to get to do too many more of these before November. That’s just a fact.
So if you’d like to be there for one of the last ones, please chip in $3 or whatever you can — and you’ll be automatically entered for that chance:
https://donate.barackobama.com/Meet-Me-for-Dinner
Next time, I could be on my way to meet you.
Thanks,
Barack

Obama Decided To “Become Black”

Or as Harry Reid once described him, “light-skinned with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”
Barack Obama decided to ‘become black’ after being teased at university by black students who called him ‘Oreo’, a new book claims.

The future President got sick of being compared to the black and white biscuit so decided to define himself as more African than American.

He spent hours listening to the music of Bob Marley and became obsessed with his deeply political album ‘Survival’.

Mr Obama also became a huge fan of Stevie Wonder and took a boring low paid job so he could understand what it was like to be poor and black.

Mr Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961 to a Kenyan father and a white mother but his parents split and his dad returned to Africa.

He spent most of his youth wrestling with the question of who he was and in the end constructed his own ‘blackness’ without a male figure to guide him.

In ‘Barack Obama: The Story’, Washington Post journalist David Maraniss reveals that during his university days at Occidental College in Los Angeles Mr Obama was mocked by UJIMA, the black student group on campus.

They found him unsure of who he was and too mixed up to be part of their society.

The group’s leader Barry Hook said that some of them ‘just couldn’t tolerate the multicultural style of Obama’.

He said: ‘They called him an Oreo. . . . We’d get into some discussions about the Oreos.’

Whilst at university Mr Obama had no time for the punk that was popular on campus, but he and friend Eric Moore bonded
over their shared love of Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder.

9 Tall Tales From Barack Obama's Memoir

1. Hussein Onyango, Barack's grandfather, wasn't really imprisoned and tortured by the British.

2. The father of his Indonesian stepfather, Soewarno Martodihardjo, wasn't killed by Dutch soldiers in the fight for independence.

3. Regina, a friend at Occidental who Obama writes about as a symbol of the authentic African-American experience turns out to be based on Carolina Boss, who is white. Regina was the name of her Swiss grandmother.

4. Obama projected a racial incident onto his New York girlfriend that he later told Maraniss had happened in Chicago.

5. Obama wrote that he broke up with his New York girlfriend in part because she was white. But his next girlfriend, an anthropologist in Chicago, was also white.

6. Obama cuts out two white college roommates entirely.

7. Obama wrote about his high school friends as an alienated, ne'er-do-well "club of disaffection." In fact, most members of the "Choom Gang" were "decent students and athletes" who went on to successful careers.

8. Obama's mother left his father, not the other way around.

9. In his memoir, Obama mentions he missed out on playing time in high school basketball because he coach preferred players who "play like white boys do." In fact, Obama had to work hard just to make the team, and race had nothing to do with it.
