A litmus test is how they treat Jews. In most Western European nations, Muslims are openly antisemitic. Jews are being assaulted in the streets in France, Holland, Germany, England, and any other place with a significant Jewish community.

AntiSemitism is a huge, huge issue, just as Islamophobia is, and ironically based on a lot of the same reasons.

They would never dare do this with Christians, since the reprucussions would be too severe.

At Confederation, the only "Canadians" that mattered really were the white Europeans, so of course they were going to have the dominant religion.

We have seperated the church from the state, but Canada's moral code was build by Judeo-Christian ethics, not Sharia Law.

People like this? Do you mean the extremist types or the more modernized followers of Islam? I've said repeatedly, Extremist Islam is evil, bad, wrong and doesn't belong. Moderate followers of Islam, however - just like the more moderate followers of Judaism and Christianity - don't believe in these harsher practices and try to follow the more peaceful path of Islam.
