how are these flash mobs created? wouldn't there be a digital trail?
Mobs are as unpredictable as tornadoes. I would think if someone created a machine that could spawn tornadoes they would be held accountable for any damage done. Same for flash mobs. Trace 'em down and hang 'em high.

Without getting inside the circle it can be pretty hard. Remember how fast a party could be assembled when you were a teen without any social media?

Just another way to rob shoppers, race has nothing to do with it, greed has everything to do with it. Now comes the scary part for all of us, if needed Homeland Security (which every police force is a part of) can shortcut warrants if citizens are threatened.
Sure, they'll just go straight to facebook or twitter and demand access to the account history of any suspects.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A decision by San Francisco Bay Area transit officials to cut off cell phone service at some of its stations to thwart a planned protest drew angry response Saturday from one transit board member who said she was shocked that officials acted as "this type of censor."
Bay Area Rapid Transit officials have said they shut down power Thursday evening to cellular towers for stations stretching from downtown to the San Francisco's airport after learning protesters planned to use mobile devices to coordinate its demonstration.
"I'm just shocked that they didn't think about the implications of this. We really don't have the right to be this type of censor," said Lynette Sweet, who serves on BART board. "In my opinion, we've let the actions of a few people affect everybody. And that's not fair."
BART Deputy Police Chief Benson Fairow on Friday told KTVU-TV that the agency decided to turn off underground cell service because it received reports that a rowdy group that had protested in July had similar plans.
"It all boils down to the safety of the public," Fairow said. "It wasn't a decision made lightly. This wasn't about free speech. It was about safety."

Going back to the O.P. here......I watched several of the videos on the InterWeb
earlier today, and then sort'a skimmed many others, out of curiosity.
It could just be a weird coincidence, but all the videos, & I mean all the videos
that I was able to find (from store surveillance tapes, etc....) depicted all of the
people robbing these stores where of the same ethnic background.
Are there not any downtrodden Hispanic or Caucasian or Asian people to also
be involved in this Flash Mob bullshyte? As off as this Michael Nutter might come
across in his statements.....there does seem to be a pattern here.
The "Bankers" ripped everyone off, so that doesn't explain the pattern. What the
Hell, eh?

That's not quite what I expected, but it did make me laugh. I really was expecting someone to
post something (like a LINK) within a few minutes proving that the impression I received
watching the vid's I did earlier today, only showing black looters with respect to these
Flash Mob robberies....was a coincidence.
