Though I am against abortion as a form of birth control, there will always be circumstances where it is necessary for medical or psychological reasons. I am not God, nor am I anyone's conscience. I am pro choice in that I would prefer to see a girl in trouble have a safe place to go. That is nobody's business but her own

pro-life, and I doubt there are very many that are truly pro-life. Or do you mean anti-abortion and pro-choice.

I am pro life. I am also of the opinion that everyone has their own life and it should not be interfered with by anyone else.
Concerning society (as dysfuntional as it is), I think the focus should be primarily placed on whether the mother's life and health would be jeopardized or not, and secondly on whether there would be any benefit to society or not.

I'm pro-choice with a slight pro-life lean. I think the option of abortion should be available to women, but only during the first trimester. After the first trimester I believe a woman should only be allowed to abort the fetus/baby if there is a risk to her life. I also think people need to be as careful as possible to prevent unwanted pregnancies and abortion shouldn't be taken lightly.

If you support capital punishment...support war....euthenasia.....then you are NOT pro-life....if all you are is against abortion, then you are anti-abortion..NOT pro-life.

Then there is pro-quality-of-life. Is it really life if you are a vegetable with tubes running in and out of you and wires attached to you while you lie in a hospital bed? What kind of life is it that you have if you are constantly reminded that you cannot contribute anything worthwhile to your environment? What kind of life would it be that is estmated at a life expectancy of a couple weeks after birth?

and there's a difference between letting someone die a peaceful death when their time has come, and prolonging through artificial means with no hope for recovery. Personally, when my time comes I will probably have a "no resuscitate" order in place, but that is up to the person in the bed to ensure they have all thier ducks in a row so that their wishes are acted upon.

There's a diference between not wanting to see needless killing of a human being and what you have suggested.

I imagine when your time comes and they get an oportunity to unplug you a memo won't be necessary, there'll be a small stampede to the extension cord.:lol::lol::lol::lol: sorry gerry it was to good to let slide.

Pro-life.

A women should only be allowed to have an abortion when her life is in danger or in the event of a rape.

Society never takes responsibility for their own actions.

To fat, blame McDonalds .. (like they forced you to eat that juicy Big Mac with cheese & beacon)

Gas prices to high, blame Bush (have you seen how many SUV's are on the road these days)

Same with sex, oh unprotected sex.. I will just kill off a fetus like some wart on my finger.

It's part of your body, it lives. Would you chop off your arm or finger.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...another reason, more personal.
If abortion was easily available in the 60's chances are I wouldn't be here.
Chances are a few other members wouldn't be here.

Can't we all use less inflamitory terms like Pro-Baby Murder and Pro-Female Slavery?

Perhaps Im being philosophical here, and I'll probably realise this is stupid later:

But maybe the real issue is that having a baby causes such negative impacts on our lives that abortion is needed.

Why on earth have we set up our society to the point where breeding is akin to ruining your life for alot of people?

Perhaps its just nature catching up to our overbreeding.

It's really amazing to me, that, after all of these hundreds of years, people really haven't
changed at all, and if anything, are worse now.
The decision to have sex relates to having a baby, why don't people finally 'get it', as ,the
moment the pregnancy is recognized, all hell breaks out.
That's after the fact folks, after the fact, we are so intelligent, but so stupid.

Having a baby is serious business, but it's not taken seriously till it happens in all the cases
pertinent to this conversation.
Is it really necessary that people cannot think clearly when deciding to have sex, do they
have to ruin their futures at that moment in time, just because they can't seem to get it
together to 'make sure' they don't get pregnant.
You can still do it 'everyone', just use birth control, god, it's so easy, and still so fun, and
so satisfying after, when you realize that you took the 'couple of seconds' to make sure.

I can understand it happening so much when people were less educated and less
able to get their hands on 'whatever they need' to prevent having a baby. But, now
days, it's so easy, and all of these poor babies are brought into the world, when they are
not wanted, a bad way to start a life, one parent, no money.

I agree to abortions for all of these miserable non thinking people, but please get your abortion very early, and think next time, don't bring new little people into this world
unless you want them, and can afford them.

People have a right to their bodies not the state. The state has no business telling women what they can and cannot do with their bodies - that they have to host a fetus and once a child is born they must be responsible for it. It is a brutal reality that unless women can control their own bodies they are not free. Forcing children on women is often confining them to a life of dependency. It is turning them into breeding machines and making them vulnerable to exploitation.

I don't like abortion but I dislike slavery much more.
