Does minimum wage/welfare payments now lift people out of the poverty level?
The voters are the employers rather than any being a burden on the system. Remove all Federal and Provincial employees as being counted as 'working' as they are servants to the country rather than any corporation
Make that the staple diet for all Government employees and fill the two residents for the Federal leaders as the place where the whole party bunks down for the time they are in Ottawa and the rest of the time they can log in from a home office where their kids can hear all that is said. The diet part will show that the 'employees' can/will survive on what they recommend that the voters and their children live on.
Lets see the workers show that none of their money goes for those things as it is a waste of money and somebody who is unemployed would spend it on something useful. Give those things to the unemployed voters to help them cope with being unemployed in a place where employment has certain benefits over not being employed and the jobs list is a lot shorter than the voter list. (as already mentioned) The author should have had that happen to his parents.
That would apply to all elected persons first and then the ones they hire would be next in line and the last would be the ones on welfare or unemployed. The
hirelings' would also be required to share their business residence with a certain number of unemployed persons/families so they can have a real life experience to share with others in the same boat when they debate issues in Canada on public TV.
You get to live with an elected member of Government so he can mentor you until you have a steady income that doesn't suck off the same *** as he is sucking off.
While Harper is no doubt the best we have, there may be a far better alternative as follows.
Link please.
Subject:
The next prime minister of Canada - and from SK to boot
There is a future for us yet, if a 21 year old can come up with this. This is a challenge for any politician.
Gotta love the Saskatchewan people This was written by a 21 yr. old female from Saskatchewan who gets it. She's worried about the future and this is how she feels about the social welfare system that she's being forced to live in! These solutions are just common sense in her opinion.
"The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living".
Saskatchewan population is 48% native..

Put me in charge of food grants. I'd get rid of cash for potato chips or chocolate, just money for 50kg bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak
and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Healthcare. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligation. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tattoos and piercings, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You WILL maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

Put me in charge of compulsory job search. In addition, you will either present a cheque stub from a job each week or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good.."
Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self-esteem," consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self-esteem. If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

Elected officials and families can no longer vote, employees that draw from public funds that exceeds what welfare pays can no longer vote as most of their votes tend to enrich their lives only.AND while you are on Govt subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest.....You will most likely vote for a 'welfare' government, so you must voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a government welfare cheque. If you want to vote, then get a job.
Define 'modest' and 'low'.Ummmmmmmmmmmmm- try $2,000 a year for a couple with one modest income and one low income!
