That is intentionally misleading Pete. There a many forms of child abuse and that stat includes all of them. How many cases of sexual abuse on children are there every day and how many of those are committed by the clergy or those in the employ of the church?
I was 'taken care' (broke in if you have recovered) by an older woman, it's still something that follows you throughout your life. I happen to see breasts on a woman before I see anything else, the not so pleasant part is all of them are just out of reach for one reason or another.
Perhaps the *** is where your confession should begin.
When I say 'all', I mean 'all women that have tits and a heart beat'. ( and would say, 'Why bring up the past?' if I asked them what grade they were in) On the far end of the scale, if I grab her *** it usually means I can't have to call her 'Mame' anymore. I draw the line (as far as I know ) when the skin looks like it only has a few staples holding it too the bone. Probably take more than a few quick shooters and turn the nights down low. .... hopefully or even I would have to call myself a ****. Why is it misleading? Priests are human like everybody else. If you have to wait a year or two between Priest incidents it's extremely insignificant and doesn't have the backing to be considered a statistic.
But if it sells cars, colas, feminine hygiene products and cheese burgers it's worth making a fuss over?
This is a tad different as two are doing it in tandem, when one is about to be exterminated by the victims the other one comes in and pretends to give them a harsh punishment when reality shows the rescue will be worse than the original abuse. Not a big surprise as that is a routine they are stuck in.
If that wasn't true then the Rothschild Banksters of today would fully follow the OT banking Laws if they really believed they were Jews themselves. They don't, since they got the British Monarchy to give them 'royal titles' they should act as king, OT Israeli kings to be precise.
Summarize the main points of each king and a pattern can be spotted, such as how long one family can reign before they are corrupt to the extent the ones they are in charge of start to get less than they are paying for.
The Church has been a willing player since 30AD, before that the money-changers seem to have been bad for temple rules as far as service to the people of Israel. The RCC should have followed the OT banking rules and added Gentiles in as the ones called 'brothers'. Paul and the Beloved Disciple call gathered Gentiles 'children', that is not followed either.
Because the Church takes the punch when citizens are tired of the way the Government is treating them the Gov gets to stay in the shadows and collect most of the goods while doing nothing worthwhile, middlemen for short. (Gov is boss because all freedoms vanish when the words Martial Law are spoken by just one person (per nation)

Probably more that the prospect of being in close proximity to kids attracts pedophiles is why there are so many that are preachers and scout leaders.
This 'priest' stands to spend several years in prison for statutory rape.
Clearly there was a pattern here of sexual misconduct.. that was hidden and ignored by the diocese.. and he was subsequently re-assigned to other parishes WITHOUT any warning to the parishioners or clear supervision and oversight.
This is exactly what the rules of USCCB (Conference of Catholic Bishops) new rules in response to the abuse scandals were intended to stop. Now they have to be invoked. The priest.. on conviction (or even without).. must be laicized (defrocked).. and the bishop under whose adminitration he was re-assigned needs to be fired from his post.
Some times the episcopacy of the Church is like a dumb mule.. you have to treat it with prayer, understanding and benevolence.. but FIRST.. you have to smack it with a two fisted 2 X 4 timber square between the eyes.. to get its attention. :roll:

lol, scarey to know I can be part of somebodies nightmares. (in this case it is most likely more of a blessing as all that exposure to black mold and sewer gas over the last decade makes me a bit short tempered with stupid people, the intentionally stupid rather than the natural variety.
Back in the day when the holocaust thread ran some 20 pages or so the topic set more people on edge than it did me and I probably have more compassion for life than most of the ones on that thread. Even on gas when you really can convince yourself that a wrong is totally the opposite I was never convinced that attempting to ignore something you are obviously thinking about. An current example, said avoider probably thinks proper justice would be me departing and him staying when my view is this place need more spontaneity than avoiding an important topic, like why do I have to be such a prick all the time, or whatever made him put me on ignore.
Now that I know I can freely talk behind his back I won't do it again, just in the hopes I piss him off even more. Master Card can't cover that in terms of worth, lol
