I didnt know they enforced it really. Do they have something like what Sympatico does which really does meter your activity down to the MB? Or like a web panel to see how much you've done for the month?

It never ceases to impress me how people can never be happy with the connection they have. I suppose the deaply primal instinct that makes us strive to better ourselves as a race and as individuals makes us strive for the best in all fronts, net connection included. Hrmm, curious.

I am on shaw now but switching to telus dsl monday and I can hardley wait. Shaw is so so slowww where I am and my neighbour is on Telus and went to same sites as I went to and way faster. shaw sucks and it will get worse as more people sign up. more people on cable on your street the slower it is. Come Monday I will be surfing faster. cant wait. bye bye shaw.

Good point, it is in human nature to want the best ;) Atleast it's in my nature hehe.

Our broadband services in Canada are like a rollercoaster. One year they turn out to be pretty good, next year they cap us with 5gb limits. And a year after that, they change their mind and become more lax on the limits.

Wonderful DSL service with www.VIF.netfrom St. Bruno, PQ - and I'm in Barrie, ON.

3mbit service for $29.95/mo, no caps, servers allowed, outside SMTP service allowed .... no complaints.

Found it, originally, through Bob Carrick's website, www.canadianisp.com

Speed is normally between 2.9 and 3.2

We are with Millinnium Digital Media here in Seattle. Nice to not dial up, but, we are under their thumb, as is the entire state of Washington because they divide up the area and each company gets a segment of the business to be a monopoly with. What's a cap, BTW?

Re: Please state your service provider here!Telus

Was using Shaw and Bit Torrent a little and all was well. Decided to try Telus (3 Yr-$24.95)......Continued to use Bit Torrent once or twice.........Received two Copyright infringement letters from Telus.....Does this mean that Telus sees everything I upload or download?

Rogers Hi-Speed Internet Extreme

Up to 5 Mb/s download (for real).
Up to 800 kb/s upload (for real).

No limits.

You spoke too soon.

Note to Rogers: a 60 gig cap on users to force your VOIP is wrong no matter how you word it.
