Pit Bulls, Seem to be not so bad

If you are stupid enough to come to his aid then perhaps you are the stupid teacher, probably graduated with honors.
Only ever saw 3 staffies in my life and one was from a vehicle. Both of the others were mushbuckets.
A cousin of hubbies raises bull terriers. Lots of fun playing with those. Some friends of ours raise rotties that are like puppies in spite their masses (medium to large).
I have also encountered a cranky black lab. Hubby clocked an Alsatian that rushed and surprised him barking. I whacked the throat of a dobie that lunged at me, but that was likely because I was running along a beach and the owner was running towards me and thought I was an attacker. The dog coughed a few times and was ok after a while, but wouldn't come near me for a long time. (Turns out the owner and I became good friends).
My cousin nearly had his face chewed off by the family dachsund when he was a kid. It pays to be cautious when your kids are around dogs or vice versa.
