Give her a break, countryboy. She is probably 65 years old by now.

I know lots of 65 yr. old ladies who look just fine. But then, they're not trying to look like they're 45! Or 39. Or something! Perhaps this lady hasn't heard the term "aging gracefully." Too bad...I agree, she used to look pretty OK and somewhat "natural." I like natural. Just my taste, I guess.

Where is Palin's wedding ring?

She was a failure as a mayor, a failure as a governor, a failure as a mother, so perhaps this is proof that she is a failure as a wife as well (???). I would certainly hope not. But it is very unusual for a married lady in politics to go about without her ring and you have to wonder where she left hers.

"She has a good chance of winning the nomination, she is very popular with the Republican base. But winning the election is a different thing altogether."

Why?? Because she is a woman??

In 2008 the same kind of uninformed, idiotic view was expressed by uninformed, idiotic people, regarding black candidates. And see what happened? Idiocy prevailed.

Secondly, I am glad that you are glad to see me back.

Yep, I think it's high time Obama was replaced by a female who's good at shooting moose.

RE the utter, but not unexpected garbage in post #423.

I do not wear my wedding band - even being married for forty years - because my rheumatic arthritis swells my joints so that it is impossible for me to wear it.

Secondly, how can a person elected TWICE as a mayor be a FAILURE? How can anyone who has been elected TWICE as Governor be judged as FAILURE? How can anyone who has been courageous enough to give birth to a developmentally challenged child be deterrmined to be a FAILURE as a mother?

How can you say that a woman who broke through all the glass ceilings as a failure?

If you take a look at those knuckles, they belong to hands subject to arthritic swelling. Ring not so good.

London, Aug 23 (ANI): Former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin has fuelled rumours that she is about to divorce her husband Todd.
An American magazine has claimed that Todd has been sleeping on the sofa and she hurled her wedding ring into a lake after a row.
Mercede Johnston, whose brother Levi is the ex lover of Palin’s daughter Bristol and father of her seven-month-old son, said: “Sarah and Todd are fighting all the time. Todd often ends up sleeping on the couch. Bristol used to tell Levi that they would bicker over the slightest things, like who would take out the trash or wash the dishes. Sometimes Todd would just take off for days to his cabin.”
According to Mercede, the couple’s problems started ever since the controversy over 17-year-old Bristol’s pregnancy, which sparked uproar during last year’s presidential election.
“Sarah let Bristol sleep with Levi when they were dating. Todd was furious about it and after Bristol got pregnant they were screaming at each other constantly,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
Mercede said that Palins’ relationship turned even more bitter after their son Track, 19, was caught illegally buying alcohol using a false ID card.
“Sarah pushed Track to join the military to keep him out of trouble but Todd didn’t want him to go. He blamed her for making the mess worse,” Mercede said.
“Todd and Sarah were high school sweethearts and I’m told they were very much in love but I’ve known them for a long time and it seems like there’s no affection between them now.
“Over the past few years, I’ve never seen them kiss or cuddle or even hold hands when they’re out of the public eye. They never go on vacations together and never seem to go out for a romantic dinner or even a movie.
“It seems to me that their marriage is just a sham for the cameras. If it ended in the next year, I wouldn’t be surprised,” she added. (ANI)

I think I just remembered why I never ran for politics...I'm not perfect enough! Hell, I think I might have even made a mistake or two somewhere along the way. It's a good thing there are people like Bill Clinton around to demonstrate how a politician should run their private lives...a fine and shining example for those loose Republicans.

If you post a personal attack, or quote a personal attack....Your post will
be removed.

Good morning Ron- If that comment I made to Y.J. is considered an "attack", then I would say half the posts on here should be removed. It's certainly no worse than many of the posts Y.J. writes himself (Cliff wrote him a friendly message this morning and he attacked Cliff right away) I say what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Anyway most of it is in good fun. Politics is a pretty inflammatory subject to start with and I think if you want to stem "attacks" that whole subject should be taboo. Just my opinions Ron.. Have a nice day.

It may have more to do with posts by YJ that have been disappeared in the mean time. I doubt that it was in response to your post.

And somebody who is an expert in foreign affairs to boot, because Russia can be seen from Alaska (though as it turned out, she had never visited the spot herself).
