Put these on Palin and she could win by pretending to be Cheney.

The undisputed champion of mangling a language (and very likely to remain so) is Jean Chretien. Added bonus is that he mangled not only one, but BOTH official languages of Canada.

Wow, what a shock, you deflected something about one of your heros to someone this thread isn't even about.

Avro, I was simply trying to make the point that misspelling, misusing and/or mispronouncing one (or many) word should not disqualify any political ambition.

If that had been the case, saying '57 states' during the campaign and saying 'corpse men' when President could and should have disqualified your idol, the Anointed One.

That's fine.

However, if you read the article, Palin defends it by comparing herself to Shakespeare.

At least Bush and Chrétien had some humility about it.

It's okay though, I understand how you are incapable of criticizing your hero's.

Avro, Palin did NOT compare herself to Shakepeare. She simply said that English is a living language and as such new words are invented by people every day.

And even if she did, is it any worse than your idol, you know, the Anointed One, saying that He was the one that the world has been waiting for? Kind of comparing Himself to Jesus.

You are one funny dude....by saying Shakespeare in her defense it was a comparison.

My idol?

I have said repeatedly that so far Obama is a failure and he is no different than Bush.

Prove me wrong.

And Palin isn't? Her entire post is a joke. People make up words all the time, and I'm sure she was trying to use it as her own "catch-phrase". Although, considering the landsliding media against her I can tell it didn't work out.

Maybe he was comparing himself to Stuperman. Your hatred of Obama would make you the Joker.
I agree that Palin is a dickless Dubbya.

Let's hope so; eight years of Palin in the WH would certainly be an improvement on the Bamster. It would be similar to Reagan fixing things after the Carter disaster.

Hate-filled petros puked so:

"Palin's gotta be one of GHW Bush's illegitimates from the CIA hooker pool."

If I were to sink to his level, I could make allegations - more valid than the above - about Obama.

But guttersniping is exlusively used by liberals. And that is their GOOD quality.

Peace-loving, chicken-hearted, yellow-striped Cliffy wrote, forgetting that if all the leaders in history had been like him, he would not have a time and place to spread his venom:

"I agree that Palin is a dickless Dubbya."

Then he went on to say:

"Your hatred of Obama would make you the Joker."

I do not hate Obama. I pity him and have no hate but contempt for him. And for his blind followers, whose REAL hate for George W. Bush makes my my feelings for Obama a regular love affair.

I think Palin is hideously ill-suited for a VP or Pres role. She's the kind of politician that makes you cringe every time she opens her mouth.

However, I have to admit, she's right on one thing: the idea to build a Mosque near 'ground zero' in NYC is insanely stupid.

No matter what the intentions are behind it, it will become a touchstone / shrine for the most extreme fringe of the Islamic community, it will become a shrine to terrorism. And there's no way that should be encouraged or permitted. It's just a horrifically bad idea.

Spit it out. You don't like him because he is black. Be honest.

TenPenny opined:

There is only one person who is more hideous and unsuited than the Anointed One. His insurance policy against potential assassination is Joe Biden, because even the most determined Obama hater would realize that this bumbler would be ever worse.

Both of these worthies make sober American cringe. Just look at the most recent polls.
