Glad we got that mystery solved! -
Yep, so are bi polar critters twice as smart?
Told ya it was cold.
Coldest Antarctic June Ever Recorded | Watts Up With That?
Actually NOAA reports June 2014 as the hottest June on record globally. And May 2014 was the hottest May on record globally. We'll have to wait and see for July.
Looks like it's going to be an El Nino year, which will spike global temperatures (but, on the plus side, hopefully bring some respite to California's extreme drought).
June also marked the 352nd consecutive month of above average temperature.
Aren't you being a little Ruff on Loc?Why wait for July?
Locutus already knows.

Sooooooooooooooo? We got a 30 year warming trend. As far as warming trends go for the history of the planet, I'd guess that's a pretty short one. Or is that the point you were trying to make?
Warming and cooling have always happened.
The question is why.
I don't think you can dump tons of carbon in the atmosphere and have 0 affect.
Possibly variations of the orbit!
Is that so?
So how has that affected the earths stratosphere and troposphere?
Why is one warmer than the other?
The earths wobble?
I'd love to see the paper on that theory.
It's not rocket science, as the orbit changes the angle of the sun also changes.
Doesn't explain how the stratosphere is cooler than the troposphere.
Also, how is the current angle of the sun conducive of a warming trend.
The output of the suns energy has reduced since the 70"s yet the surface temps have risen.
The air is thinner in the stratosphere hence has less ability for heat retention.
