Former President Bill Clinton delivered a sweeping denial of any knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes as he began closed-door testimony Friday before a House committee investigating the disgraced financier’s political connections.🙉🙈🙊.

“I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong,” Clinton said in a statement prepared for delivery at his closed-door deposition in Chappaqua, New York. “I know what I saw, and more importantly, what I didn’t see.”

The White House did not immediately respond to comment on the calls for Lutnick to testify. US House oversight committee chairperson James Comer, a Tennessee Republican, told reporters on Thursday that he is not ruling out the possibility that Lutnick would be issued a subpoena to testify, but don’t hold your breath.

Deviating from the majority of his Republican colleagues, US House member Thomas Massie earlier in February called for the commerce secretary to resign over his ties to Epstein. During an appearance on CNN’s Inside Politics, Massie said: “Really, he should make life easier on the president, frankly, and just resign.”
