Looking forward to your bundt cake?

Martha and Betty Crocker don't seem to have a problem with it!

Yeah, but I'm not claiming that his admission of guilt was forced under torture.. prove it..

If you were standing in a court of law right now, can you stand up and under oath state his admission of guilt was forced under torture..

You can't --

So !!

Does anyone think that with that upbringing any good would come from it?
Krist on a cross- indoctrinated in Canada, off to the Ghan at 12.
Give it some thought.

It was sarcasm Goober, but Guardsmark is all Muslims and East Indians.. he should fit in..

So!! You don't have any proof that his confession of killing a US Soldier was coerced, and being he built bombs how many others did he kill that he didn't admit too..

He his fighting for a religion that he has not denounced and proudly still practices.

Most of the detainees that have been released from Gitmo have rejoined terrorist groups..

I picked up on that. Most Security companies have a large proportion of new immigrants to Canada as employees.
Many are Muslims of which I am aware as I have had a number of Muslims over the years work for me.
Truth be told the ones that passed training, most did, and I kept on were honest, hardworking and truthful.
No problems at all to speak off.

In court the onus is to prove guilt not innocence!

Anyone have thoughts on how a kid would turn out if this happened to them?
Ah come on now.

.. So, that's the excuse for murder then, is it?

"... No guilty m'Lud by reason that my client didn't get enough hugs as a child"

I posted a question on how we would expect a child younger than 12 before taken overseas, indoctrinated daily would turn out?

I am open to a reasonable discussion.

I get what you're driving at Goober, but in the final an*lsys, Khadr is not a child soldier... Wasn't a 'child' when he killed Speer and by no means was he a soldier.

The world is filled with people that have done crazy and disgusting things, from serial killers to crazed military/militia that are hell bent on pushing their world view on anyone within reach. Absolving any of them because of childhood influences doesn't cut it.

So, if you really want to discuss Khadr and his childhood influences, let's include his older brother that was under the identical influences yet made drastically different decisions than Omar... This reality alone pokes many holes in the argument that Omar is without any blame... His brother managed to take a different path so why not Omar?

Actually, he lived a pretty full life by the age of fifteen. I detect a note of envy in your posts. The Fully actualised teen, spanning half a globe.
When he gets out of prision the movie and book rights will be worth a fortune...

"Innocent . the Khadr Story" starring Mel Gibson Jr.

Screenplay by Hunboldt
Critique by the esteemed - Capt. Morgan

Jokes on you champ... Canadian Feds may invoke some ruling that a criminal can not profit from the crime... Of course, this is assuming that the screenplay and production aren't a total bust

That would be sweet justice

I couldn't tell you without having the full understanding of that group.

But, let's get back to Khadr and 'who' he was a soldier for... Care to respond to that?

next: How is it that his older brother was able to escape the indoctrination of the same parents, yet Omar was unable?... A speculative question to be sure, but a very interesting one all the same, non?

All questions that have no bearing on this case. Would it have made any difference had he been a soldier of another country? I know kids of alcoholic parents who have turned out be drunks and idlers while their siblings have been sober and productive citizens. Who knows why? a gene they inherited? an allergy they inherited? The main point here that some posters seem to be too dense to understand is if we take the worst case scenario that he committed first degree murder at age 15 he would be the only one in Canada who has served 12 years. What part of that is difficult to understand? Do we want to see him have a successful life or do we want to give him an institutional mentality?

I'll email you my invoice in the next few days

Plus West Vanocuver, Cabbagetown, and all of Quebec City...
