A picture is worth a thousand words, especially to the illiterate. And no one mentioned a religion fathead.
You have sharp eyes DB . Most wouldn't recognize him without the beard an d Gitmo tan..

Actually I would rather have Omar for my neighbour than some anonymous guy released from jail that I had no idea had been in jail. I doubt if he'd be a drug problem or a thief and I doubt if he'd kill me.
Nobody said he was being tortured. Let's try to connect the dots here. What I said was that:
- Torture was likely practiced at Guantanamo Bay (as evidenced, for example, by the report of the Interantional Red Cross which said that they were using torture).
- Omar Khadr was at Guantanamo Bay for quite some time
- Confessions extracted under torture are not reliable
and therefore...
I deem Khadr's confession as suspect and would prefer physical evidence. I didn't say he was tortured; I said that given the situation his confession is suspect. Try and keep up.
Maybe when Omar is your neighbour, he can make you a delicious bundt cake!
Yummm!!!!

So why can people not realize that he should be considered a child soldier.
Canada has spent tons of money running rehab programs in Africa for who- child soldiers- many who committed crimes that make what Omar did pale in comparison.

All conjecture no FACT!! You do not know Khadr was tortured, it's just some hypothesis you have formed for his admission of guilt.
Classify him however you want and free him.

There is no way that he was a 'child' (and I really don't give a rats azz what the UN says on that) nor was he a 'soldier'.
Yeah, but that's YOUR opinion and the world doesn't operate on YOUR opinion! -![]()
And you don't know that he WASN'T tortured, so what's your point?
Looking forward to your bundt cake?
I'd classify him as fairly intelligent, should be watched and monitored and employable.
The International Red Cross report is conjecture? The fact that Omar Khadr was at Guantanamo Bay is conjecture? Do you know what conjecture means?

The kids in the web search were of the nation in which they were shanghaied into fighting for. Many/most wore a uniform and were identifiable relative to what 'army/force' they were fighting for.
Who was Khadr fighting for?... What is his nation of origin?

And what about the rebels in Africa that use children.Do they qualify?
Here is a lovely one.
