You don't know Jack! Both those conflicts were immoral and criminal. America raped those countries and murdered millions of innocent civilians. But I know you would be proud to have helped hold them down while Yanks did the raping. You would of felt honoured, wouldn't you Jack?
Were you in Vietnam? Any other conflict or war? One the ground in heavy combat? With the inhabitants of a country in war or conflict? Or are you just talking off your proverbial hat without anything under it? "War" is not pretty... it is unfortunately historically human! However, there exists more to it than your point of view... when you are with the people who are attempting to find their rights to live their lives free of war (Yes); but also free of being dominated and massacred by their fello opposing countrymen under one sort of regime or another.
My first weeks in Vietnam (around the DMZ) introduced me to the opposition of the South Vietnamese people when we entered a village that had just suffered from a massacre by North Vietnamese Troops and the Viet Cong: They spared no one at no age... and the scene has never been repeated on any movie screen or TV monitor either.
I knew the local people... we attempted to protect those who refused to leave their homes and move South... they did the same for us. We were family! Maybe, in this situation, a Family closer psychological and emotionally than a normal family (biological and genetical) that never has to confront a war like Vietnam. They would disagree with you totally!
There is more to war than politics and commercial considerations. There is more to peace than those like you who just run off at the mouth against those who, in some way, attempt to balance things out in this insane Humanity!
Talk is cheap! And cheap talk is empty! Get off your nationalistic high and come down to facts on the ground! No 'Population' of any Nation is running the Global Events. Thus your "Americans" and "America" is totally off the proverbial wall with your ill informed, and limited in scope, arrogance.
The Americans in this forum demonstrate that fact also. We don't look at Canadian vs. American. We look at 'People' and 'Beings' and we attempt to relate... understand... grow... and unite... with hopes that some day 'Wars' will end. That will only occur, if people like you will ever allow Unity and Understanding to grow eliminating indoctrinated differences. We are here to talk about 'Presidency'... and you? Give us a break! Get your high attacking your own personal way of existing within Humanity. And this comment has nothing to do with 'nationalistic borders' or 'population classifications'.
