The Ukraine is going to be spending billions on military operations while Crimea is going a different route with it's money. Not that hard to tell who is on the right part in terms of long term stability.
China Prepares Massive Investments in Crimea

Vladimir Chizhov, Russia’s ambassador to the European Union, said Russia is partnering with China in two major Crimean projects: the “Power of Siberia” gas pipeline and a 25 meter deep Crimean deep water port. These projects will continue despite the ongoing crisis in the Ukraine, Chizhov said.
Chizhov described the “Power of Siberia” gas pipeline as a mega-project that will pump 60 billion cubic meters of gas annually from the Kovykta and Tchayandinskoe gas fields to Russia’s far east, where a branch line will deliver 38 billion cubic meters a year to China.

As part of this project, Chinese firms will dig an enormous trench near the Crimean town of Frunze and fill it with sea water by demolishing a dam. Chizhov said Russia’s annexation of Crimea, which has been roundly condemned, has done nothing to stop the Crimean port project that is worth $3 billion in the first stage alone.

Putin knows western European socialists have no balls and will just keep annexing countries until he has the entire USSR back in one piece. Weather he can hold on to all of it or not is a whole nuther story.

Are you 100% confident in that statement TS?

Time will tell. Ukraine is important for food supply in Europe. ANd Western Europe has become far too dependent on Russia for fuel.

Russia was taking that food from Ukraine for themselves and Europe can live without Russian NG. Now that Europe can buy Ukraine's foods products prices will drop offsetting any temporary increases in energy.

No Ukrainian food, coal or hydro for Russia is going to make Russians hate Putin even more than they do now.

Pretty much from a different planet aren't you?

Minister: Turkey, Russia Agree to Increase Gas Shipments — Naharnet
Turkey has agreed "in principle" to increase shipments of natural gas from Russia via the Blue Stream pipeline, its energy minister said on Monday.
The two countries will increase capacity through the pipeline, which crosses the Black Sea, from 16 billion cubic metres annually to 19 billion cubic metres, said Energy Minister Taner Yildiz.
"We reached an agreement in principle with the Russian Federation," he was quoted as saying by the Hurriyet newspaper, adding that a new contract could be signed with Moscow to buy gas at a "reasonable price" with the involvement of the private sector.

"Russians hate Putin even more than they do now"
You should be more concerned about Canada than you are about Russia.
If 80% approval rating is 'hating' then Harper and Obama better be looking for bunkers.

Putin’s approval rating hits 80 percent

Putin now holds an enormous 80-percent approval rating. Just 18 percent of Russians appear unhappy with his leadership, the lowest number in years (the other 2 percent are unsure).

Next election looks to be a ‘two-party gunfight’ between Conservatives and Liberals: poll - The Globe and Mail

But Mr. Bricker warned against viewing the Harper government’s approval rating – 44 per cent, according to the poll – as a serious hurdle for the Conservatives. That number, he said, might seem low, but it’s actually typical for incumbents that go on to mount a credible fight come election time.

A fine example to show Canadians in general have no balls but the people in the Eastern Ukraine do as they are taking steps to get the Government the people want.

http://rense.com/general96/canada.html
Right-wing Prime Minister Stephen Harper marches in lockstep with Washington. He's Obama's unctuous little sidekick. He dances to his tune. He partners in his dark side. No pun intended.
Canadian travel restrictions were imposed on senior Russian officials. Crimean ones were targeted. Economic sanctions followed. Last month, Harper announced them, saying:
"It's my strong belief we must keep the pressure on and we must continue to maintain sanctions and maintain putting in place strong steps to dissuade this behaviour."
"What the Putin regime has done cannot be tolerated and can never be accepted. The individuals targeted are responsible for undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and for facilitating Russian military action against Ukraine."
"Canada will not stand by while Russia violates Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity."
He condemned legitimate Crimean reunification. He twisted truth claiming otherwise. He supports Kiev putschists. His new friends are fascist extremists He promised additional ways to help.
In mid-April, he announced more travel bans and sanctions. Foreign Minister John Baird said Canada "cannot sit by while Russia illegally occupies Ukraine."
"Russia's continued provocative actions in Crimea and elsewhere are completely unacceptable."
"Canada and its allies are prepared to take additional steps that will further isolate Russia economically and politically."
He lied claiming Russian "aggression." Russia attacked no one. No Moscow threats exist. Putin deplores war.
He goes all-out for diplomatic solutions. Don't expect Harper or complicit Ottawa officials to explain.
Canadian lawlessness includes participation in US-led NATO's 1999 Yugoslavia raping. Ottawa is a US coalition of the willing partner. It was part of Washington's war on Afghanistan.
It helped America selectively against Iraq. It actively participated in Obama's Libyan aggression.
Harper ignores rule of law principles. He's mindless of democratic rights. He supports Obama's war on Syria.
He endorses lawless drone strikes. He's comfortable about Washington's globalized torture black sites. Police state laws don't trouble him.
He's in lockstep with the worst of Washington's imperial agenda. He's part of US-led NATO's anti-Russian alliance.
He supports illegitimate Kiev fascist putschists. He's in bed with some of the worst societal misfits. He calls them his new friends.
They include neo-Nazi extremists. They're ideologically over-the-top. They threaten regional peace. They risk open conflict.
Harper matches Obama's belligerence. He supports hardline measures. He wants Russia marginalized, weakened and isolated.
Last month, he said Putin has "no desire to be a partner." He supports "rivalry" instead, he claimed. He twisted truth saying so. He's part of Obama's plan to plunder Ukraine for profit.
He supports making it another Western colony. He wants it geopolitically annexed. He wants it economically looted.

I have to acknowledge a degree of schadenfreude watching Putin manhandle Obama publicly.

Many conservatives who feel the same way. There is a breed of conservatvies that craves a strong, authoritarian government that will tell everyone, in no uncertain terms, exactly what to do. It's that strong, paternal hand they crave, as certain lefties crave the maternal nanny state. Different, but in a way the same, since they both want to see a strong--to me, overwhelming--role for government.

Imo Americans who crave a strong central govt. can never be considered conservatives. To be an American conservative/libertarian one must believe in a small govt. incapable of affecting the lives of ordinary people on a day to day basis. Big Govt. is theoretically capable of great good, but practically certain to commit great harm.

Since the end of WWII there has been a tacit alliance of leftist Big Govt. types (who believe in centralized planning in order to effect social justice) with Big Govt. conservatives (who believe in a powerful American national security state). But that era is over. Real American conservatives/libertarians fear Big Govt. because govt. is dedicated to working only for those people who directly control it.

It appears the minions are out in full force. A picture of Stalin in a Taxi when he was still the 'boss', how outrageous.
Lets see what the West is up to now, killing Politicians as a way to incite a war. How many taxis should his mug be on in the Ukraine?

http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2014...-crisis-president-torture.html?ref=world&_r=2
KIEV — Ukraine's acting president called for an anti-terrorist operation to be relaunched in the east of the country on Tuesday after the body of a local politician from his own party was found showing signs of torture.
Ukraine's security forces had largely suspended what was a fairly limited operation to respond to the takeover of eastern town by pro-Russian separatists after an accord with Moscow last week to try and defuse the crisis. Oleksander Turchinov's call for action could complicate the task of European mediators.
The acting president said in a statement that two "brutally tortured" bodies had been found near the city of Slaviansk, which is in the hands of pro-Russian militants. One was that of Volodymyr Rybak, a member of Turchinov's Batkivshchyna party, who had recently been abducted by "terrorists".
"These crimes are being carried out with the full support and indulgence of the Russian Federation," he said. "I call on the security agencies to relaunch and carry out effective anti-terrorist measures, with the aim of protecting Ukrainian citizens living in eastern Ukraine from terrorists."
In a statement from regional headquarters in Donetsk, police said the body of a man who died a violent death had been found in the Seversky-Donets river and that it resembled Rybak, a local councilor in the town of Horlivka, near Donetsk.

Typical of American style democracy while those 'pesky' Russians must be doing some sort of false flag operation based in the next wo links, if it was such a smart move that is what the US would be doing, right??

China intends to invest in massive projects in Crimea less than a month after the former Ukrainian province was annexed by the Russian Federation.

He noted that Gazprom, Russia's national oil company, and China National Petroleum Corporation (China's largest oil company) have a legally binding agreement from 2013. He said that exploitation of the Tchayandinskoe field will begin in 2019.
Chizhov said Russia and China are will continue with plans for Chinese firms to build a 25 meter deep port in Crimea as part of a new transport corridor from Asia to Europe called "The Economic Belt of the Great Silk Route."

There is so much going on today it looks Stalin remarks will have to wait.

http://www.blacklistednews.com/Ukraine%3A_Poland_trained_putchists_two_months_in_advance/34666/0/38/38/Y/M.html

Lies have shorter and shorter legs. Two months after the change of regime in Kiev, the Polish press has disclosed the role of Donald Tusk’s government in preparing the coup. The new revelations belie Western discourse and demonstrate that the current interim government of Oleksandr Tourtchynov was imposed by NATO in violation of international law.

According to this source, in September 2013, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski invited 86 members of the Right Sector (Sector Pravy), allegedly in the context of a university exchange program. In reality, the guests were not students, and many were over 40. Contrary to their official schedule, they did not go to the Warsaw University of Technology, but headed instead for the police training center in Legionowo, an hour’s drive from the capital. There, they received four weeks of intensive training in crowd management, person recognition, combat tactics, command skills, behavior in crisis situations, protection against gases used by police, erecting barricades, and especially shooting, including the handling of sniper rifles.
Such training took place in September 2013, while the Maidan Square protests were allegedly triggered by a decree suspending preparations for the signing of the Ukraine-European Union Association Agreement, which was issued by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov on November 21, i.e. two months later.
The Polish weekly refers to photographs attesting to the training, which show the Ukrainians in Nazi uniforms alongside their Polish instructors in civilian clothing.

In summary, Poland trained a mob of thugs to overthrow the democratically-elected president of Ukraine and pretended he was subscribing to an appeasement agreement with him on 21 February 2014, while his rioters were in the process of seizing power.
Moreover, there is no doubt that the coup was sponsored by the United States, as evidenced by the telephone conversation between Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Ambassador Geoffrey R. Pyatt [4]. Similarly, it is clear that other NATO members, including Lithuania (in the past, Ukraine was dominated by the Polish-Lithuanian empire), and Israel in its capacity as a de facto member of its military command structure, took part in the coup [5]. This arrangement suggests that NATO now runs a new Gladio network in Eastern Europe [6]. In addition, following the coup, mercenaries working for Greystone Ltd., a subsidiary of Academi, were deployed in the country in coordination with the CIA [7].
These facts radically modify the perception that we may have had of the coup of 22 February 2014. They undermine the arguments provided supplied to the press by the U.S. Department of State (points 3 and 5 of the factsheet dated March 5) [8] and constitute an act of war under international law. Therefore, the arguments peddled by the West regarding the ensuing the events, including the accession of Crimea to the Russian Federation and the current uprisings in East and South Ukraine, are null and void.

Well, that's that then. I'm sure Putin will see the light now that American has told him to behave. I bet he's quaking in his boots.

Not.

It's a pity Thatcher isn't with us anymore. She would have sorted Putin out.
Crimea, Donbass, west Ukraine, all come to Russia in the end. America comes to its end and will get a great "reward" for all its dirty deeds and "democracy". Get your hands out of my land!!!
