It this was covered on CNBC and CBS and ABC, and FOX and any other NBC network, was it truly necessary to pre-empt a football game?

Days of rabit ears and only 1 station are long since gone.

- With all due fairness to management-trainee-in-chief Obama, he has a good sense of the occasion and delivers his ghostwritten speeches very well off the teleprompter.

- So on important, solemn and emotional occasions of national triumph or, like this one, national tragedy, President Obama is a great president.

- Unfortunately, in part because he has never been an executive anywhere and in part because he is on the wrong side of history, he is at a serious loss when it comes to the executive fubnctions.

- And it is executive leadership more than speechmaking that is needed as rarely ever before in Washington and the world.

- But well done on the memorial speech Mr. President and extra kudos because you wrote this one yourself.

Sports and entertainment are just that, sports and entertainment, this was a real news story
and all networks will cover it. No when a real event happens that is news worthy the one
station with the rabbit ears does exist and so it should..
Making ignorant remarks about the program content demonstrates intolerance of others period
Ignorance directed at the program content or indeed the dignitaries, the Governor or the President
demonstrate a lack of respect and human dignity as well. Only people with low self esteem or a
lack of human compassion would attack the news coverage of this case or those speaking.
That is OK its one's right to do so, as some people have no shame anyway and its good to know there
are people like that out there. It demonstrates just how much work there is left for the education
system to reach.
Personally the President did a fine job in the address he gave, I am not even an American but it
demonstrated he has compassion and is a pleasant contrast when compared to people who have none.
It also demonstrated why he should be President instead of insensitive Republicans. Oh not all
Republicans are insensitive? When people attack the President or others at a time like this people
associate them with Republicans by perception and that is the feeling they come too true or not.
Nothing like a bunch of Bubba's around a TV with a fridge full of beer cursing the bodies of some little
kids who interrupted their game. They should be ashamed of themselves.

People here know what I think of Obama (not a lot) and of gun control (much much less) but to whine about their bloody football game being interupted by what was an address to the nation on a subject of extreme importance (even if proposing idiotic solutions) is simply so disgusting.

Morons.
