Yes, Eagle - that's exactly what I was thinking.

The broken record was meant for you. I should have known you wouldn't have caught that.

Senate to grill FBI over Boston bombings intel failures ? RT USA

High-ranking FBI officials will face questioning by US lawmakers over whether they failed to spot red flags surrounding slain Boston bombing...

Generally I am all for the death penalty, but for some reason I don't think they should kill the younger brother.. drop him in a hole for the rest of his life, sure.. maybe learn some more information over the years. but death penalty for a young kid who was obviously influenced by his older brother..

Yes this was a horrible attack on innocent people and terrorized a nation and community. As horrific the act.. send him to SuperMax.

From some of the things I've read, they did interview the older brother after the alert from Russia, but had nothing to hold him on and the Russian's didn't give anything specific besides.

IMO, the older brother dying is exactly what he deserved.

I'm glad the younger brother is alive to answer questions, like why. The why NEEDS to be asked, and answered. Because if this was a solo plot to defend Islam, like I read last night, then people need to really start focusing on this.

Now if only the feds had the ability to track and keep track of stuff and people it'd be great.

Dumb as in "the dumbing down of America? Dumb is a relative term denoting someone with a different view than yours mostly.

Mixed up much? Which is it then?

The dumbing down of America or just that they have different views?

I'm against capital punishment too... but he is no different from his brother. If he was influenced then so be it. He was old enough to know what he was doing... plenty old enough. He placed a bomb that killed and maimed, possibly shot and killed a cop (one of them did), carjacked a car, and had a pretty darn good fire fight with police.

The man had a smoking gun in his hand.

He's 19. He's had no life experience. I highly doubt he had a clue of the consequences.

They are saying they had no connections with terrorist groups, and were motivated by their belief system.

No, I think he very much understood the consequences of his actions. Blow up bomb, kill and injure lots of people. That's not rocket science...this kid was supposedly pre-med.

Did he understand the consequences that would happen to him if he got caught? That's debatable, in that it's quite possible the idea of getting caught might not have crossed his mind. That I can buy a 19 year old not having a clue about.

Oh at 19 there is enough life experience to know that planting a bomb, killing a cop, carjacking, and getting into a firefight with hundreds of cops to know you are doing something very bad.

I'm sorry Sal but but he knew the consequences of this.

.

You know I heard that... how can a 19 year old freshman at UMASS Dartmouth be a pre-med student? He graduated high school last year.

The problem is that you failed to see that I meant my reply to both of you.

Putin supposedly ''alerted'' Obama but his SVR and FSB found nothing. Chechnya's security found nothing. Interpol found nothing.

So how the hell is Obama supposed to be blamed when nobody else supplied information.

So what do you clowns do?

Now you get it.

Congratulations. Too bad Boomer can't answer for himself so you stand up for a guy who has never won a single debate in this forum.

Re: Obama Administration dropped the ball & and can the people sue the government?

mindless cults and their mantras:

man·tra (m
n
tr
, m
n
-)n.1. Hinduism A sacred verbal formula repeated in prayer, meditation, or incantation, such as an invocation of a god, a magic spell, or a syllable or portion of scripture containing mystical potentialities.
2. A commonly repeated word or phrase: "Today's edutainment software comes shrinkwrapped in the magic mantra: 'makes learning fun.'" (Clifford Stoll).

A mantra is a word or sound that serves as a focal point for certain types of meditation. In certain religious groups, a mantra is used to achieve spiritual transformation. In psychology, mantras may be used to achieve a hypnotic trance, or simply to quickly reach a point of deep relaxation. Guided visualization, hypnotherapy, and other therapeutic techniques may rely on mantras.

"these cult leaders would indoctrinate their members with the same mantras and messages that have appealed to members in the past year after year. Same messages, same thinking, same results, year after year, without awareness of the harm that it does to others."

Cults, Sales Gurus, and Being True To Yourself - SalesHQ

This is the same hate cult mindlessness that we see in this forum on a daily basis. It's time for these non-thinking haters to be deprogrammed for their own good.

Re: Obama Administration dropped the ball & and can the people sue the government?

When the Tsarnaevs' uncle called his nephews 'losers' i didn't know how accurate that statement was. The family which immigrated to the U.S. in 2002 as refugees from the Chechyn conflict.. apparently never worked in any kind of full time employment.

The parents lived on welfare in a squalid Cambridge apartment where neighbours said there was constant domestic arguments and unrest. The older brother Tamerlan dropped out of community college, collected welfare between brief stints as a pizza delivery driver.. and now appears to have supported himself by dealing drugs. He was arrested but not charged in 2009 for slapping his then girlfriend, then wife.. and according to her roommates referred to her in public as a $lut and prostitute.

The younger brother Dzukhar was by accounts of his friends constantly stoned on marijuana and was flunking out of his freshman year at UMass. The parents moved back to Dagestan after the mother was charged with felony shoplifting and property damage.. and she will not return to the U.S. to face those charges. And of course ultimately Tamerlan left his wife and child to face the consequences.. to follow some absurd plot without any purpose other than to raise hell through murder, maiming and mayhem.. and further discredit Islam.

Is it much of a surprise that the U.S. government didn't take such drifters and losers seriously. The fact is there are a myriad of these people looking for some way to let out some amorphous anger for a failed life.. it's more often a suicidal attack on a school or workplace.. but it really doesn't differ at all from those who put the label 'jihad' on it.

The fact is there might be no protection against these 'self radicalized' jihadists.. while maintaining a free society.. as there aren't with other mass murderers. It's just a price of democracy.. all you can do is make it more difficult to get the tools of their trade.
