It's all we do really and we have to spend more time at it cuz the fish is smaller and farder away.
The gubment has mandated that we use solar powered schooners and ethicly sound fish hooks.
Successful at perpetuating the welfare state, and getting compliant politicians elected/re-elected on that platform.
When you look at the proportion of job losses in your province as a percentage of the total population, it is much worse than anything Ontario has ever experienced.
As I said, can't see passed Nimbyland.

I make more than that a week sitting on standby at home. I think I understand the bitterness now.

Ditto, mind you, I'm on call right now, as opposed to standby. So I actually get a premium too.
Well that and the "I don't care if taxes go up", and the "Screw cars" attitude. If you're like him and living off the taxpayers, with no drivers license, why would he care.
The Alberta dollars shipped home to NS sure doesn't hurt either. About 65% of our drivers are from Green Energy, NS.
And that's just one company.

Without equalization cash from the E&P companies, how can this expensive green energy that is dependent on subsidies actually compete?

The work in NS is seasonal?
Michelin only makes tires in the summer? The paper mills only make paper in the summer? The shipyards don't build ships in winter? the universities and hospitals don't work year round?[/QUO
