How about if you're able-bodied and of sound mind and you haven't worked in over a year...you forfeit your right to vote.

This would stop the shiftless parasites in this country from electing disastrous governments like the Wynne administration.

Thoughts?

The parasites would lose their minds. That's all they know.

I've studied enough human psychology to know that nobody is of sound mind. The only parasites I can see are the politicians, the bureaurats, CEOs and banksters.

I shake my head at the Natives...the welfare recipients...etc.

With my schizophrenic diagnosis, I could easily get a note from my doctor and never have to work again. But I don't because I have dignity and a sense of self-worth. I provide for my family and I've never blamed anybody for my affliction and expected compensation for it.

I'd never play the victim/pity card. If you feel that life is unfair, wake up every morning determined to level the playing field. Get off of your ass and make a difference...contribute to society instead of taking from it.

My thought is that you are wasting your time. Generally the lower economic levels of society have a low voter turnout. That is why politicians tend to ignore them.

How about if you're not white, male, Christian, over 21, and own land, you can't vote?

I shake my head at the Natives...

Why not just do like EU?
;)
You can't vote at all.

If wrestlers and soap opera actor/esses would run for orfice the lower classes will vote just fine.
( Hey Look Ronnie! It's the Rock!)

Politicians will LOVE the future because robots vote the way you tell them too

Look at the robots we could buy with the taxes we'ed save.

Can't have too many more Illinoises, that will scare too many more welfare collectors into the voting booths.

Why don't we just sell votes?

Don't laugh. Let's look at the logic.

Hoof has defined anybody not bringing in a paycheck as "parasites" (sorry, stay-at-home parents, you're worthless).

Further, there's the implication hanging out there that unless you're bringing in money, you have no rights or interests cognizable to the government (I presume Hoof would find it in his heart to allow trust fund babies who've never done a hand's turn of work to vote).

So, it would be much easier than hassling with the exact definition of "sound mind" and "able body" and whether work is work if it's not paid in cash, to just charge for votes. Say $1000 per vote. That way ordinary people would really value their vote, banks and corporations could by-pass all the ad buys and donations and all that crap and just buy their executives a coupla million votes each, and everything would be fair and just for all and good government would be guaranteed.

What about retirees?
F*ck 'em. Parasites don't get a voice.

6 Baltimore schools, no students proficient in state tests

High school students are tested by the state in math and English. Their scores place them in one of five categories – a four or five is considered proficient and one through three are not. At Frederick Douglass, 185 students took the state math test last year and 89 percent fell into the lowest level. Just one student approached expectations and scored a three.

There is the problem with voting:
Dead people, foreigners, and corporate dollars do it better

...so that gives you the right to look down your nose on folk with failing dignity and falling self worth trapped on a system they'd just as soon work around if ability would still let them?

Hey ... it was my fault for having a great work ethic and going out to do the job alone....
