New hints about life on Mars

The disbelievers among the tribe of Quraish said to Prophet Mohammed:

"We shall not believe you, unless the angels come and testify that you are the apostle of God,
or God Himself comes,
or some portents of your Lord come: they meant the division of Moon into two halves" (the division of the Moon into two halves is one of the portents of the coming of Doomsday.)

Therefore this aya 6: 158 was revealed:

The explanation:
(Do they [ask for and] look for the angels to come to them [to testify that you, Mohammed, are the messenger of God,] nothing less,
or that your Lord [Himself] should come [to testify that,]
or that one of your Lord's portents [: the division of the moon into two halves] should come?

On the day [that] one of your Lord's portents comes [: the division of the moon into two halves], it shall not profit a soul to believe that never believed before, or earned some good in his belief [because all people will believe at that day, and no repentance will then be accepted.]

Say: "Wait you [O associaters, and see; for] we [too] are waiting.")
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore they, out of their haughtiness, demanded every impossible request;
and now we shall wait and see does life on Mars exist or not, and will this be proved true or false!?

He's got a little book that infallibly contains everything worth knowing.

Hi Dex. I wonder if that little book also says the Earth is flat. A flat Earth would seem to fit with the embarrassing level of technology demonstrated by eanassir to this point.

I don't think it says so directly, but there are half a dozen references to Allah's construction techniques--spreading out the earth and dropping hills onto it, for instance--that strongly suggest a flat earth. It does, however, clearly claim that the sun orbits the earth.

Let me guess, it's written in that Arabic scribble and the title starts with Q?

lol Tough guess.

It is not any scribble; it is the revelation from God Almighty Who can reveal His words in any language in a most eloquent way: whether in Hebrew, in Arabic, or in any other language.

This is in the Quran 6: 91
The explanation:
(And they do not esteem God as He should be esteemed; for they say: "God has never sent down anything on any human being!"

Say: "Who then sent down the scripture which Moses brought: [as] an illumination and a guide to people,
which you put on papers that you reveal and you hide much,
and you have been taught that which you did not know: neither you nor your fathers."

Say: "[It is] God." Then let them be to play in their prating.

And this [Quran] is a book which We have sent down [to Mohammed]; blessed, and confirming [Mohammed] by whose hands [is the Quran],
and to warn [the people of Mecca] the capital of cities and those round about her.

Those who believe in the afterlife believe in this [Quran], and they are constant in keeping up their prayers.)

eanassir you are living in a vacuum. Where do you get your information?

#juan, I think it is you that are living in a vacuum, in spite of the passing of years.

What will you say to God Almighty when you deny His revealed word in the Glorious Quran and deny His noble prophet Mohammed who confirmed all the past prophets and heavenly books, and he invited people to worship God alone without associate or patron?

It is not any little book; it is called the Glorious Quran: the light of guidance to all humanity.

How about replying to dexters assertion that the Quran states that the sun revolves around the earth.

Yes I know what it's called, and what it claims to be, I've read it. I found it to be repetitive, ignorant, boring, and silly, and your constant preaching from it when you're pretending to talk about science is equally so. Just for your information, Mars is about half the diameter of the earth and a tenth the mass, average surface pressure is about a hundredth of an atmosphere, the average temperature is below -60 degrees and ranges from about +20 to -150. Has it entirely escaped your notice that there are instruments there that can tell us these things directly? There are no people there. You're not going to be any more successful with your silly claims this time than you were the last time you were here.

Hi Dex. I wonder if that little book also says the Earth is flat. A flat Earth would seem to fit with the embarrassing level of technology demonstrated by eanassir to this point.

The Quran says the earth is spherical as in the aya 39: 5
"The explanation:
(He created the heavens and the earth with the true [promise of destruction and ruining on Doomsday];

He makes the night spherical on the day, and makes the day spherical on the night;

and He subjected the sun and the moon: each running on for an appointed term; surely, He is the All-Mighty, the All-Forgiving!)

The interpretation:
The word يُكَوِّرُ means (makes spherical)
Now, look carefully to the eloquence and clear language of the Quran.
Look carefully and think how the Glorious God has declared the sphericity of the Earth, its rotation around itself, the transferring of sunrays upon it and the formation of the day and night, by His saying -be exalted - يُكَوِّرُ اللّيْلَ عَلى النّهارِ i.e. (He makes the night spherical on the day.)

The Glorious God said يُكَوِّرُ i.e. (makes spherical) because the earth is spherical in shape:
so the sunrays will spread on half of the sphere so that the day will be on its lightened side, while the night will be in the dark side, then the sunrays will transfer to the other side because of the rotation of the Earth, so that the position of the night will become day, and the position of the day will become night.

Therefore, the sunrays get a spherical shape around the Earth, and give it light and heat, and the day and night will result from that.

Then again look carefully, to this word and think about its meaning. Can any human being be able to give an Arabic synonym of it? Or can he express in such [few] words all this information and knowledge?

This word, alone, suffices as a proof of the truthfulness of Mohammed –peace be on him – and a proof of the existence of a Creator for the universe; because the sphericity of the Earth was unknown to people until the present time[ the Quran was revealed more than 1400 years ago], and this knowledge and statement have not been discovered and become a reality except in these present days.

Celebrated be His praise! That Who created it, rotated it around its axis and caused the day and night because of its rotation. Celebrated be His praise, and be highly exalted He above what the unjust say."

If His revealed word says that Mars is Larger than Earth, I will tell Him He is wrong.

Compared to Earth, Mars is a tiny world. In fact, Mars' mass is only 10% the mass of the Earth.
Want some precise numbers? The mass of Mars is 6.4185Ã times ten to the 23rd kg. Since the mass of Earth is 5.9736Ã times ten to the 24th kg. Divide these two numbers, and you end up with the fact that the mass of Mars is 0.107 the mass of Earth.
Passing years don't seem to change hard facts...;-)

I'm just a slow typist Dexter. You said it better than I....Cheers

The author needs to have a chat with the little Italian guy on that. Galileo would set him straight on the heliocentric nonsense.

Petros, although sitting upside down, has correctly said it.
lmao Using the same logic as that, just because there's life on Earth, there must be life on Pluto, Jupiter, or even the sun. You're hilarious.

Translates to:

Created the heavens and the earth, wrapping the night on the right day and the day wrapping up at the night and subjected the sun and the moon is named for is not Ghaffar Aziz.

The word "يُكَوِّر" means "wrapping" not, makes spherical, which would be "يجعل كروية".

When people wrap their babies in blankets in the Middle East, are they making them into little balls? How barbaric.

It must be a new book. The one I saw with "Quran" in its title just said "Quran" on the cover. It was a pretty cover, too, with nice embossing. This "Glorious Quran" is a sequel to it?
