...and gas schoolgirls. Thanks to the constant dizzying propagandic value of kids being killed while in the line of fire, we grow numb to the fact that kids are dying behind the scenes in greater numbers. The voice of Taliban doesn't give a damn. Who do you think will come home with ghosts?

Good morning EagleSmack.

You know by golly I`ve never looked at it that way. Could this be an extension of the work programs we hear being created to curb rising unemployment in the area? 8)

God Bless America.

JBeee... look at the bright side... there will be more scrap metal to collect.

Maybe your twisting works with others of limited mental capacity such as yourself. It doesn't work with me. "Sand Monkeys" and "Sand N*ggers" was and is a term used by american troops and their allies.
It's the same thing as you calling Soldiers baby killers and comparing them to Clifford Olsen.

It's dehumanizing, thus making it easier to forget you're hurting people.

We all do it Gh.

Population of the United States 307,006,550 - Jul 2009

Which means you claim to hate approximately 154,000,000 people.........now one would assume to HATE someone, you would have to know them personally, or at least be aware of some heinous crime they were guilty of........

Or else you are simply nuts.

Perhaps you should think before you speak.

Oh, and BTW, the USA is our ally, we are deeply involved in Afghanistan, and have been deeply involved in the majority of military action undertaken by the USA in the last 20 years.

So......do you hate most Canadians?

Do you think for this reason, its possible we Canadians are now (finally) becoming targets by those who`ve suffered by US foreign policy for last 20 years?

Yes, rejoice, JBee.... Perhaps you have balls enough to be our frontline representative. You can meet them some place on Canadian shores and spam the hell out of them - face-to-face....

I'm sure they'll respect your greatness.

Explain "suffered by US foreign policy" please.

If you are speaking of Iran, you might have a point.......but I don't believe any of the North American attempts at terror attacks have included Iranians......

Most of them seem to be Saudis....are you saying the USA has persecuted Saudi Arabia?

How?

By paying a cartel, of which the Sauds make up a major part, inflated prices for oil?

By defending them?

Get my point?

To answer your question, yes I believe our involvement has made us a target, in much the same way as joining the fight against Nazism or against Soviet communism made us a target......in other words, good.

I think what is the utterly most dehumanizing is when grown men can sit and argue about the worth and valour of war, when an article like this is posted, rather than to stop, remove themselves from the politics of it, look at the fact that policy, or error, SOMETHING, brought about the bombing of a group of children for no good reason. I think whether you embrace war or not, any human ought to agree that if and when we do choose to fight a war, we ought to hold our forces to a higher standard than that. Failure to do so leaves us open to becoming what we're supposedly trying to fight.

To fight in a war is become like the enemy. War is dehumanizing. There is no glory or honour in killing other humans. It is BS fed to the troops to make it OK to kill without guilt.

It's not funny how bending down to pick up shards of broken metal can be mistaken for someone planting IED's or harvesting unexploded ordnance - especially among jittery people on watch.

This explaination is simply silly and a cowardly way out.

What are the people in Afghanistan to do to avoid being targeted...stand and salute towards the sky when those mindless, `jittery` trigger-happy morons on watch, flying choppers loaded with ordinance come out of nowhere with intentions on bombing the souls regardless?

The damned youngsters could be playing marbles for all those targeting them know. Do they give a shyte? No. Neither do those in the White House give a shyte whos targeted. Its simply a matter of shoot, brag about and propagate it if a few Taliban gets wiped out and hide, deny and eventually `apologise` when the rest, mostly innocents are wiped out with them.

If this logic is acceptable to most here in the West then we should shut our ****ing traps when the same medicine is given back....9/11 be damned.

We in the West are hypocrites for this indifference.

Do we not expect more than the image of someone hunched over before a bomb is dropped? If we don't, we really should.
