When you say Islam, you can be referring to the current state of the people in different territories or you can be referring to the teachings of the Koran. If you're referring to the state of people, then depending on the territory, you'll have radical islamists (those who are territorially expansive and intolerant), and those who are moderates.

If you're referring to the teachings of the Koran, then there's nothing in there that explicitly says that muslims must be territorially expansive, intolerant jew murderers. If radical Palestinians are skewing the lessons in the book to complete their objectives, then that's their prerogative and based on the nature of their conflict.

But you haven't cited anything in the Koran that directly qualifies a muslim to be the equivalent of a Nazi or Fascist. If you're going to have them deriving this deviant nature from the official rulebook (the source of their philosophy), then you have to show that the evil you're peddling comes from that guide.

It all depends on your interpretation, the Quran was not written as a technical manual.

But it's not just Palestinian Muslims that have strong representation in Islamic extremism is it?

I think the whole ideal of killing for a guy who apparently tied his horse to a post then ascended upward to meet the pretend skyman is the worst kind of hype I've ever heard in my life. The same applies for burning crosses or exploiting soldiers funerals.

The news, reports what happens, that creates an atmosphere that does not bode well for moderate muslims. Perhaps if we hand wringing non muslims didn't go out of their way to ignore the radicals and listened to guys like Tarek Fatah we could have a honest conversation about how the elephant in the room.
