You know gopher I agree with what you say for the most part. The difference is
once the core element gain control outside force is required. The Brotherhood
in Egypt was snuffed out early the Taliban was to entrenched and the ISIS group
is anarchy partially brought on by western interference and abandonment before
the job was done. Obama should not have left until the government was stronger.
Perhaps ISIS will force America and Iran to talk to each other this group is a mutual
threat. Its either that or just go kick the hell out of whoever needs it with whatever
weapons are required. That is not likely the best solution though

The president answers to the public and we have said no more war. It is not his fault that the enemies of peace are thriving as this was predicted on this forum by yours truly a long time and by many others who are a lot smarter than I am. Further involvement is not going to work.

Al-Daawa was our enemy having killed American personnel in Kuwait and Lebanon. Then they were befriended by Bush. Al-Qaeda was an ally against Saddam and Iran. Then they became enemies. ISIS replaced them as the principle enemy when AQ was defeated. But even if these forces are defeated some other group will take their place. Therefore, let them defeat each other and we can pick up the scraps afterwards.

Meanwhile, as I asked before - aren't you glad we did NOT invade Iran as so many pundits insisted on doing earlier? Iran has become an ally because the Sunnis hate them more than they hate the West (again, this is something I said on this forum a long time ago and only now are some people here realizing it). If Iran had been invaded as Tel Aviv and a few idiots in Washington wanted the situation would have been even more fcukked up than it is now. Clearly, more war is NOT the solution - LESS war is.

Colpy,

Articles on how fortunate Jews are to live in Iran??

I address this a long time ago on this forum including a link to an article which showed how Mizrahim pledged loyalty to Teheran thanks to the beneficence of the Ayatollah Khomeini.

There's something about thinking rationally that helps you come to a concussion. You are very irrational which is why you're generally wrong all the time.
A rational person thinks with such a high population of Jews in Iran and very little news if any coming out of the country that they're being treated poorly (not including bias sources), one would think Jews are likely are being treated well in Iran. That doesn't mean they are treated perfectly but not terribly either.

Yep, you have definitely used thinking rationally to come to a "concussion".

That does explain a lot!! lol

Seriously, and beyond the brain fart, READ a little about Iran.

Gladly, what a hell-hole it was from 1953-1979 when the West was in control would be a great place to start.

Well it would be like giant mutant tomatoes invading New Yuck city, EXCEPT FOR THE MACHINE GUNS.
Who in their right mind would give a loaded machine gun to a giant tomato.?

No, he's right. I think you got the concussion from beating your head against a wall trying to talk sense to him.

Islam is completely incompatible with western values of tolerance, democracy, and liberty. ISIS is the purest form of Islam, as they are following exactly the example of the Prophet. Think about that.

Individual Muslims are another matter altogether.

Christians still disagree on what the purest form of Christianity is. Nobody can say what the purest form of any religion is Colpy, that's just idiotic.

Your statement is pure logical fallacy, it's called No true Scotsman.

Nope.

Just you shooting your mouth off.

You are an apologist for some of the worst regimes on the face of the earth.
Still no relationship with Poland?

Azerbaijan beats Iran for #1 in the ME by 44.

Here is a start for him.
Background to Confrontation: The U.S. & Iran: A History of Imperialist Domination, Intrigue and Intervention: Pt3
(in part)
After the 1953 CIA-organized coup, the Shah and the U.S. moved to crush the widespread anti-U.S., anti-Shah opposition, solidify the Shah’s grip on power, and bring Iran firmly under U.S. control--politically, economically, and militarily.
The Shah immediately formed a military government and put Iran under indefinite martial law. The U.S. poured military advisors and aid ($504 million between 1952 and 1961) into Iran, reorganizing, training, and expanding the Monarchy’s police, military and, in 1957, its dreaded secret police--SAVAK.1
Opposition groups which had backed the overthrown Prime Minister Mossadegh, including the broad-based National Front and the pro-Soviet Tudeh Party, were immediately outlawed. All forms of political organization and activity--even literary gatherings--were banned. Massive arrests, unjustified detentions, institutionalized torture, summary tribunals, prison-murders, and executions were the order of the day. Newspapers, magazines, books--even leaflets--were outlawed if they criticized the government or the U.S. Censorship was enforced so strictly that the number of publications soon dropped from 600 under Prime Minister Mossaedegh (1951-53) to around 100.2
Parliament’s limited independence was stripped away, and candidates were now chosen by the regime. A “two-party” system was begun in 1957--with both the “Nationalist Party” and the “People’s Party” initiated and controlled by the Shah. Iran’s educational system was reorganized to institutionalize pro-Shah loyalty and propaganda.
